    Hi sarah
Just a quick post as I couldnt lurk and not post and I hope you dont mind, though not a regular poster on your threads you know I am a constant lurker and whilst I do not have much to say, I have laughed "with" you, cried "with" you, got angry "with" you (well not angry with you, you know what I mean :o ) got frustrated "with" and celebrated "with" you.

There aren't many people on this board who are debt free and the majority of those that are are wonderful, supportive people.

There are the ones who are in debt who we all identify with - after all thats "most" of the reasons we are here but I would like to bet that the ones who have critised you are the ones that continue to get into yet more debt but haven't the guts to admit it here on the board because by critising you the are making themselves feel better.

You have been an inspiration to me because whatever you do, be it debt-busting, starting your band, looking after your beautiful girls, starting CAB, doing your OU course, you have done it with passion and determination and though I hate to admit that I am old enough to be your Mum  I only wish I had the attributes you have when I was your age and older.

Life is too short hun, spend your money, enjoy your life and your family, a little debt never hurt anyone and it wont, I am certain, stop you in your tracks. Live your life Sarah, you don;t have to answer to anybody on here, live it as you want to live it and enjoy every bl00dy second.

Nobody, but nobody has the right to critisise you but there is nothing to critisise so just tell them to p*ss off.

I remember reading a thread once when somebody was trolling you and Ste came on and said something like this "How dare you do this to my wife when she loves and has got so much out of MSE" - it was something like that IIRC.

Don;t let anyone make you leave this place, you love it and we love you but if feel like a break then I totally understand but please dont be gone too long.

    Hey Sarah

I read your posts with great admiration but in some way feel glad that I am not the only one who falls off the money saving wagon every now and then. If anything if things have slipped it just goes to show just how damn hard it is to become debt free and as and when you do make it (as I sure you will) it will be an amazing achievement!

The advice you give to people is invaluable and seriously don't be a stranger. People can say what they want but at the end of the day you know who you are and you should be proud. No one is perfect no matter what some of the over inflated egos out there think. If you don't make any mistakes, how can you learn from them?

As far as I am concerned Immoral_angel is an inspirational name on here and proves that aiming to be debt free is not an easy road. I hope you come back with the same user name. Sod all the horrible people out there. They really are not worth it!

Personally i dont know how anyone can justify buying brand new T.V's, Wii's etc whilst claiming every benefit under the sun! If people speak the truth and the person who its directed at does'nt like it then it's obviously bothered them. Reality in life does hit home, being hugged by virtual strangers on a forum board does not pay bills, rent or buy food. I would'nt be at all surprised if Immoral Angel is away on holiday for a week or so and this absence is all staged for a Oh poor me routine no one' taking much notice of me. Life choices get you into trouble it's time you took stock of your lives.

What benefits does she claim that you object to so strongly? Both her and Ste are working - they get child benefit, which EVERYONE with kids gets, and she gets tax credits to cover her nursery bills while she is out WORKING.

IA has never claimed to be a paragon of virtue, she's a young woman with a young family and a supportive but gadget-mad hubby, doing her best to make her way in the world. She makes mistakes, she overspends, she likes cherry lambrini.....she's HUMAN.

I think there's something more that just 'tough love' going on in your post.....you seem to have something against her on quite a personal level. What exactly did she do to you? And why are you hiding behind an AE?

(btw, her holiday was about 3 weeks ago now....keep up :p)

I-A, I'm sorry to "see" you go, I often read your diary but didn't post as I usually couldn't think of anything helpful to say or someone had got there first:o Good luck with the CAB and your OU course. As for the people who criticize (sp?) you, sod them they do it because they are jealous.

Another lurker on your thread coming out to wish you well, IA. Your life is very different from mine - married, little children, a course of study, the different music.... there aren't many points of connection apart from debt, but I so admire you for living the way you want to live. As others have said, you are *so* young. I too am old enough to be your parent, almost your grandparent if I'd started really young (!) and if a child of mine had your pzazz and get up and go, I'd be really proud. Thats all really - you carry on being true to yourself, and do what's right for you. And if thats withdrawing from the forum a little bit, or for a little bit, then thats your decision.

    All the best

    Hi

I have had a bit of time away myself and came back better for it. I think the trouble is that people who want to have a swipe do so at you because they see the IA persona on here and forget that you are a real person with a family and feelings. Good luck on whatever you decide and I wish you all the best.

I think , from what little I know , that yourself and certain posters have a bit of a personallity clash and I know for a fact that one person mentioned on here ( No names but not rocket science) does a sterling job on a certain DMP thread. In fact I do believe that without her input and valuble knowledge that thread would not be as strong as it is now. She has put herself out for others and has been a great help to people looking for advice.

    Much like yourself.

This forum can be like life. We do not all agree but we should all try to get on

    Once again good luck

I guess this is my kind of public apology/confession. It sounds really naff and up my own a*se but there's a lot of people who read my diary and take some kind of inspiration from it when trying to deal with their own debts. At the moment due to various circumstances I'm really not doing well at all and if anything am letting everyone down on there as they look to me to be this shining example of everything MSE. Sad I know. The last time I posted on my diary about our debt it seemed to upset a lot of people who then started attacking and criticising me as if I'm not allowed to be human, which is part of the reason I haven't been posting much on my diary anymore. Yes, our debt has increased and ok yes it may have run away with us a bit but it's almost as if I'm not allowed to make mistakes and be human.
This is why for the time being, I'm going to resign from MSE. I'll probably come back, but it may be under a different alias as I feel now that the immoral_angeluk name itself has overtaken me as a person and people look to the name for inspiration rather than seeing that I'm just a normal person who's trying to sort out her debt and if I'm honest it's very overwhelming at times and puts a lot of pressure on me to be perfect.

I'll probably lurk but won't post as I like to keep up with what everyone's up to, especially with recent events. I'm sorry if I've let alone down.

    Love to everyone.

Hi Sarah, I know exactly whre you are coming from here. My OH & I were so enthusiastic when we started the whole DFW thing & the first few months were quite fun finding different ways to cut back on things. After a while though it started to become quite a chore trying to stick to our budget & missing out on things just so we can be DF quicker, especially as we both work our socks off. We no longer stick rigidly to our budget & are currently working on a budget that allows us to do all the things we enjoy, whilst paying our debts off slowly at the same time. We are only here once & trying to bust a gut to clear debts ASAP is no fun in my opinion. No one knows what the future holds & sorry for being morbid about things but one thing is for certain is that we are all going to die one day. No-one knows what's around the corner but for us, we would rather be DF in 10 years knowing that we have enjoyed life along the way rather than bust our guts to be DF in 5 years, not enjoying the DFW journey one bit. Hope you strike the right balance, but make sure you enjoy life which is far more important. No-one has the right to criticise you & as Martin says, this forum isn't about judging people. All the best!

Sar I dont know how the Hell I managed to miss this.....
I know exactly what you are saying and if you think it is for the best YOU DO IT!!
Dont let all these people bring you down....you are an inspiration to people... I only wish I could be as organised and full of life as you,but that aint never gonna happen.
This is one of the reasons I have never done an SOA or a diary of my own....I dont want people picking me apart.
You are entitled to a life and to treat yourself,Ste and the kids occasionally...no-one can live their whole life thinking about debt and how to deal with it.
You do have a life to lead, you are only young once you know:D

We still wanna see your tattoo you know:p
    so you better come back:A
