Hi, I'm a mum of 2. Love card making, done a bit of scrap booking. Used to be into cross stitch but too much like hard work now. Long stitch much easier but takes too little time for the money spent... Tried candle making and decorating that can be fun.... Luckily I now get some craft freebies through work which is fab!

I would like to see if any of my items are saleable at a craft fair but would need to invest in labels and plastic wrappers... Perfectionist at heart so nothing seems quite good enough.... :o I may be able to start selling some cards through work so might give that a go! The best bit about card making for me is the pleasure it gives people and the joy my kids get out of it too. My speciality currently is handbag (shaped) cards... everybody loves them. :j I'll try and include a photo in a future posting!

I haven't posted on the crafty threads here much, but I'll introduce myself anyway.

I'm 45, married mum of DD (10) and run my own business so I am perpetually busy!

On the crafting side, I do knitting, used to cross stitch but don't do that much any more, scrapbooking, a bit of cardmaking, stamping, altered art/mixed media collage, cold process soap making and have done a couple of art dolls and dabbled in jewellery making/beading. Crikey, when I list it all it's no wonder I have so much stash in the spare bedroom!

I have a whole room full of craft stuff... hard to get in the door full.... (wonder where all my money went:rolleyes: ) - hence why if I could find an outlet for some of this stuff it would be great. I still have handmade cards that I made for last Christmas. too good to give away.:rotfl:

    Hello :)
I haven't posted too much on the crafty threads on MSE either but hope I'm ok to join, I'll try to post here more :)

I'm Kerry, 23, mummy of one little monkey who is 10mths. Just been made redundant so for the moment I'm a stay at home mummy, although my bf is trying to change this and march me back off to work lol

I've been into cardmaking and scrapbooking for almost 4 years, I cannot remember when I bought my first crafty goodies but I'm sure I spent a lot! I've always been quite crafty, I can't wait to get all my goodies out but many times I find I just can't bring myself to use them as everything, especially my papers are so beautiful.. which means I buy twice as much lol

I loved making hampers for Christmas gifts, I did them last year and the year before and they went down a treat, everyone really seemed to appreciate them.. even if they did cost me a small fortune, not the original plan and certainly not very MSE =/
I have huge boxes full of cardmaking and scrapbooking supplies, I can't wait to start on my next scrapbook. We're going on holiday to Majorca next week and I plan to take lots of photos of us all, I almost can't wait to get back to get started on it :)
I like paining old furniture, little chests of drawers/boxes/walls! lol I also love baking, cupcakes especially. Yum!
    The £2.00 Coin Savers Club = approx £22.00  :j.. The 20p Savers Club = £17.80.

Im Kirsty, 26, I work full time and live with my partner of 10 years. I started making cards at the start of the year - i was in the doctors surgery reading a card making magazine and decided i'd like to try it! I have been steadily building my kit and i have made quite a few cards for family and friends which they loved so it made all the effort worth it. I would like to try scrapbooking, printing and soap making

Ooh Kerry I am looking for a few nice cupcake recipes so if you have any special ones please let me know. I would love to try decorating them with butterflies, made out of chocolate!! but not sure if I'm good enough for that. I want to make them as individual gifts and wrap them in cellophane. Any ideas welcome ladies :-)

    Hey!

I'm Natalie, and this is only my second ever post on here!! I'm 24 and I'm an accountant (yawn) but in the little spare time that i have i love making cards!! I have made for friends and family, and even a few others.. so i've now decided i'm going to try and make some pennys out of it because they seem to go down so well!!! I've started up a little webpage/store.. but its still a work in progress....

I started maiking cards last summer, then kind of gave up, so I went to clear out all my craft stuff when we moved house and got more hooked than ever!!!

Any tips/ideas would be greatly appreciated as i'm relatively new to it all!!

    Nice to meet ya all!

Well Im Sam - otherwise known as Sammy_Kaye to everyone else on the MSE forums. I tned to inhabit (lol) this board and the OS board most frequently although do dabble on the pets board too.

Im 24 and am a young mummy to my 4 year old son Benji, unofficial step mummy to an 8 year old step son J, adoptive mummy to two turtles named Toby and Randy and fur mummy to Bruno, my 6 year old Jack Russell. Am also girlfriend of 6 years to Ow, have no plans to get engaged/married and hes adamant he wants no more babies so fur babies it is for now! Why fix what aint broken?

Ive been crafty since i was little but have always been seen by my family as more the practical person like my grandmother - I like to be in control, know what i m doing and make sure everyone is well kept/fed and looked after so tend to give alot of practical gifts. My nan taught me to craft, she taught me to knit (i can do lines basically so scarfs are ok) and a brief attempt at crochet but thats all i remember- i was always good at french knitting though and may take that up again at some point too. Most of my childhood was spent under her guidance - every school holiday i had was at her house so have picked up many OS ways as many will know.

On top of these i do hamper making, bag making, beading, cross stitich, painting, drawing, wheat bags, decoupage, baking, sweet boxes, fudge making, geneology, and other sewing projects.

Thats me in a nutshell :D
    Time to find me again
