    Hi All!

I'm Bekki and I seem to be the baby of the group at 20.

I've always been really crafty and thankfully grew up in a house that was being renovated so I could make as much mess as I wanted whether it was baking bread hedgehogs with my mum or making pictures in left over cement with my dad.
I've just spend my first year in my own place living my boyfriend (although I don't think he will be much longer after the flannel cupcake incident :rotfl: )
I believe I've become even more crafty as now I have the room to make everything.
I started out making cards and doing a little scrap booking. This has grown into all sorts including hampers, sock monkeys, those evil flannel cupcakes, candle making and I just recently finished my first ever cross stitch which has me totally hooked and I'm on the look out for more!

This Christmas I hope to make as many pressie as possible including chocolate slabs, smellies, fleece blankets, flannel yule logs, french memo boards and flavoured vodka!!

I think this thread was a great idea. Its so nice to hear about everybody!! :hello:
 Saving hard for a brighter future!

    Hi there

I'm Shirley, 54 and mum to 3 grown ups and work part time.

My craft hobbies are card making, cross stitch, baking, sewing and crocheting. My current obsession is shoulder bag making (see link for details)

and my last obsession was making summer dresses because I couldn't find any in the shops that I liked! I'm about to start cards making again ready for (whisper it, Xmas:p )

I can't bear to just sit, so am always either crafting or reading:D

I don't know where I got the craft bug from, my nan did embroderie I've been told but no one else in the family is crafty at all!

    Great to hear about everyone:beer:

    Hey all

I'm Vicki, 25 from Stockport in Cheshire. I live with my boyfriend, no kids, no pets, and I work from home.
I used to make cards, but that gave way to jewellery making after I was introduced to it by a friend. Want to get into doing more craft fairs etc but not many in this neck of the woods.

    Nice to meet you all!!

    Vicks xx

Okay, so my name is Melissa, no surprise there. I am 33 and live in Liverpool, (originally from Leicestershire). I have two sons aged 6 and 4 (a right handful), and a toy boy other half (five years younger than me), who is always moaning about my craft stuff taking over the house, (we only live in a small terrace).
I started crafting years ago, doing cross stitch, then swapped about four years ago to card making. I have just got back into cross stitching after reading the post on here and remembering how much I used to enjoy it. I have just started scrapbooking, and would like to get into altered art.
I would like to make a little money from my hobbies, but alas no luck so far, but fingers crossed.
I love the crafty threads on here, as I said I live in a house of men - mess everywhere, fouls smells, strange stains, so its really nice to come on here and have a chat to some like minded women. I don't have many friends either (I have lived up here for about four years now - I know I'm sad), so I love chatting to you all and hearing what you have been up to.

    I'm a sporadic poster too :)

    Amy, 25, housewife, no kids.
    Crewe/Newcastle-under-Lyme on the Cheshire/Staffs/Shrops border.

I'm a jack of all trades craft wise- jewellry making, wire shaping, cards, papercrafts (decoupage, papermache, paper weaving...), cosmetics, candles, painting (mainly oils and acrylics but have a stash of over mediums), altered art, reconstructing clothes and soft furnishings, willow weaving, knitting, hand sewing, machine sewing (mainly bags and soft furnishings), free hand machine embroidery, learning to embroider and as soon as someone mentions something else I'll have a go at that too :D I was going to say I need a job but I've just been asked to supply a friends new craft website, so if all goes well I've got one :)

Oooh, Amyandoli - that sounds really promising - good luck! Sounds like I could learn a lot from you re altered art. I have dabbled at making my own bath products, but the bath bombs made me cross - they got stuck in the mould. I had to put the whole thing including the mould in the bath.
