it wont make any difference to your warrenty as its with nokia not orange
and orange would give you the same code anyway for about £20

I have a Nokia 7600 which I just unlocked via Trycktill.

I've read a few times that 3 have disabled quite a bit of the phone menu. Maybe the browsing is limited to tied websites or something, but I don't know, as I really haven't used it much.

In the near future I'm thinking of experimenting with using the phone as a 3g modem via Bluetooth to a PC. Are there 3's default settings that need altering or unlocking to be able to do this with other SIM cards? Is that a code unlock, or done via a PC connection or new software?

the only bit of disabled menu that i know of on these is the option to select between 3g and gsm which can be reset with the correct equipment.
you may not need this to be done unless you experience signal dropping
