sorry to hear about this dippychick.

to be honest i have nothing to say, just popped in when you first posted, cos i'm curious about all this kinda stuff and have been checking back daily since for hopefully a good outcome.

i have nothing to compare this with, but me being a bloke applaud you girls for what you & your bodies go through.

some of the things you mention sound gross and would be hard to put up with normally i'd imagine, even worse when it's something like this.

as i say nothing constructive to say, but keep your chin up and hope the pain and all the other stuff clears up soon.

I've been reading this thread but not contributing since I have no experience at all in this area. But just wanted to say sorry to hear your news and tell you to be sure and look after yourself over the next while.

Well I am still bleeding and it is getting heavier now and I am going through pads like I don't know what :(

I am going to run out at this rate and my husband (who checks with me to monitor bleeding) agrees that we will go to hospital in an hour if its not improved.

I am not one to rush there but this is unnerving me now and I am filling a pad in less than half an hour.. I am not waiting for them to flood like she said.. because it's gross enough as it is.

Just took a Paracetamol and Codeine now, which is my second in a few hours.

Dippychick - take care of yourself. Go to the hospital and let them check you. It is better to annoy some doctors now than wait for until you are sure you can't cope with it any more!

Sorry to hear about your loss, Dippy, and I think you should go into hospital if you're still bleeding and worried.

As for contraception, have you considered Implanon? It doesn't suit everyone, but I think it's more reliable and comfortable than the coil.

Get yourself checked out honey - if I was in your situation and I was bleeding like that then I'd go. What's the worst that could happen? They send you home again. But at least you'll have some peace of mind.

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.
  • go up to the hospital dips - at least use their maternity pads for a while to save yourself some money on pads ;)

they might be able to give you something to calm the bleeding down. i took tranexamic acid after mine, but it was something i already had prescribed for heavy periods so i just asked if i could use it and they said yes. they might give you something similar.

from what i remember the bleeding might be caused by a bit of placenta being left behind. sorry to be graphic but it's difficult to talk about these matters without sounding brutal :( a scan would show that, but it would probably be tomorrow morning before they could arrange it. i think that's why i got a scan, because of how heavy my blood loss was.

don't ignore it, because heavy blood loss can make you feel really ill (plus you might need treatment to make it stop, so sooner rather than later would make life easier for you . with small children to look after the last thing you want is anaemia to add to your problems.

    take care petal xx

Thinking of you Dippy. The clots you are passing maybe the lining of your womb which thickened up for pregnancy is and is no longer needed. You may find you need iron tablets as you may become anemic due to the blood loss.

If you are concerned about the heavy bleeding seek medical advice.

I've sought advice on a few occassion where it's been heavier than normal for me. I've always been reassured I'm not bleeding to death but it's a huge worry when you are constantly flooding. Once while shopping away from home I felt as though my complete insides had come away as I just passed a mass of huge clots in the space of a few seconds. I was told it was the lining of my womb which had become too thick due to a hormonal imbalance which had been aggrievated by taking Clomid and sure enough after another surge it just stopped. It obviously came away quickly in one.

Yup.. am passing huge clots.. bleeding calmed down when several big clots came out and now I am getting pains like contractions. Honestly. It's weird. I will get a nasty pain for over a minute then it will go. I am hoping this is noe expelling everything that's less.

The bleeding did die down and the pain is horrible but not agonising.

Pain come back now.. how odd :(

I would have thought I would have got them before expelling the baby - not after?
