The walk with OH didn't happen, as by the time he'd decided to have his breakfast at 11.30, it was far too hot to even contemplate the hour long walk to the marina for lunch and the hour back again.
Instead, I decided to ask my elderly neighbour if she would like to join us as her friends have all gone on holiday and she's feeling a bit down, and I drove us there. We've just had a lovely lunch (only sandwiches, but still nice) and she insisted that she contribute £10 to the meal as she was so delighted to have been asked.
Washing is dry, so will have to go and get it in, and the duvet, is doing well. It'll probably take a while, as the duvet is very thick, and of course it's now covered in thunderbugs, which will have to be hoovered or brushed off before I bring it in.
Forgot to get the fillings for our jacket potatoes yesterday, so luckily OH has decided he just wants beans in his tonight, which we already have in, so I won't have to rush off to the supermarket tonight.
Have decided that if the weather is ok tomorrow, then I'm going to walk into town along the canal (about a 30-40 minute walk) and go to the library, as I'm finding myself getting fatter at home, as I eat when I'm bored. This will stop me using my car, give me some exercise, and also give me something to do with my time, so sounds good. Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather holds out. Will have to make sure that I do my flying first though, as I don't want a lack of energy to be an excuse when I get home from town.
Right, off to get the washing in then.

DH got back from fishing around lunchtime so we've got everything put back in the loft (out of sight, out of mind for me!) and I've done another load of washing and got it out on the line.
Still really hot here but clouding up and getting more humid. Nasty.
The Red Arrows went over a little while ago. I was very excited0 -
Happy Birthday Boddy - hope you are having a lovely day.
Welcome back Lil_me - sounds like you had a great time.
Scorching here again today. Me and the kids have just got back from the Nick Jnr Jump Up at the MK Bowl - DS is a bit old but enjoyed it all the same. We had McDonalds for lunch so I'll only have to do a sandwich for tea.
No flying today - but I did do all my washing yesterday. Might do some cleaning tomorrow if it cools down.0 -
Afternoon, it is now officially too hot as far as I'm concerned.
I've been pruning the huge climber round the door which involves leaving out of DS3 bedroom window with very long prunners. OH is using the new hedge cutters to tackle just the front hedge - it is really high and very thick so he is reducing it a bit.
SSL they had a great time thanks, I am only just starting to understand cricket and DS1 has been playing for 6 years.
GG I love bumble bees. I do have a really bad reaction to bee stings too but I've never been stung by a bumble, they are magestic. It has disappeared so I hope it flew away once it had dried.
We are having cheesey jackets for tea as it is so hot - must check I have some cheese before the corner shop shuts. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Afternoon all.
Happy birthday boddy
Welcome home Lil_me - glad you had a good holiday.

DH and i went for a bit of a wander, just for half an hour, but I came back soaked in sweat - nice.
WM is on with more bedding and the hair dyed towel in, had a nice chat with my mum and now watching casualty from last night while DH finishes studying, then we'll play a game or watch a rental dvd i think. leftover lasagne and pud tonight with a glass of wine i think.
sexymouse- what a lovely thing to do with the old lady!
dusty - my DH adores cricket and I've learned now at least not to ask the stupid 'are we winning?' questions but not a lot more!

May as well give up with it this week far to hot. If Pigpen doesn't like it then......erm....then tough.
Been to the shops with DD while DH took DS out for a meal. Had a great time especially in the air conditioned shop. Managed to get DS a few things for school. DH just moaned that they wouldn't fit him when he needed to wear them. I don't want to wait until September to get them and have a big rush on. Hardly brook the bank I only spent £25 and £5 of that is for my niece.January Grocery 11/3740 -
