    Morning everyone.

    Boddy - Happy Birthday

Dusty- A nice fry up is in order I think!

Overcast here this morning. Typical as I splashed out £40 on one of those Homebase hanging parasols yesterday! I was v. proud of myself as I put it up all on my own :D . Well Almost anyway.
I needed a big rock to weigh the base down with but couldn't move it on my own.
DS1 came up with one of the removal straps from his dad's van and said "mummy, if we wrap this round it we can pull it along together" I would never have thought to do that  . It worked a treat.

Going to try and persuade OH to invest in some new garden furniture today. Ours was half inched whilst were were on on holiday last year  . The most anoying thing was, I had only just sanded and re-varnished the table.

Got all the bedding washed and dried yesterday, so going to spend the day sorting out the garden. My window boxes are frazzled, is it too late in the year to buy bedding plants?

OH is washing the duvet in the bath as we speak with biological washing powder and soda crystals. The dirt coming off is disgusting - the water is actually turning a kind of dirty yellow! Thank goodness I asked him to do it - it actually looked white when it went in, although I must admit that it is too big to go in the WM so hasn't been washed since last summer when I took it to the launderettes. (We do have a kingsize duvet on in the winter, so most of that dirt must have come from being uncovered in the wardrobe as well.)

Still not dressed - got distracted by Mrs Tine's thread on clearing out her freezer. It must be massive to take all of the things on her list!

    Happy Birthday Boddy! :bdaycake:

Right, I will get on now - promise!

Happy Birthday Boddy - hope you have a great afternoon with your family

Mudbath I hope your DD had a great trip and is thrilled with your hard work in her bedroom; how is it going being a family of 5?

PP well done on putting it all together yourself. I don't like fry-ups - does it work? I had a bowl of sugary cereal and think I'll have another cuppa.

Washing on the line so shower time

Hi Everyone and Happy birthday Boddy!!
Dusty - hope you feel better soon!!!!!!!

Hot here too! Sky a bit misty but looks like it will burn through for later - just in time to roast us at the garden party!!

Still not dressed yet - but need to shake myself into gear and pop to shops to buy DS a shirt for today (and also for the 1 x christening, 2 x birthday parties and family gathering occuring in the next 4 weeks!!)

Also - been completely disorganised and need to buy prezzie for birthday party tomorrow. Wish I was a 'proper organised Mum'! Oh well!

Must admit, I'm not usually brave enough to face a fry up with a hangover, but it does usually do the trick. Failing that, a bottle of tonic water and a bag of ready salted crisps :D .

Thankfully, It's been a while since I've had bad hangover (I find avoiding the work's do is a good preventative measure ;) ).

    Hope you feel better soon

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY BODDY!

DD is coming home today so I best get a move on and make it look like I haven't spent the past 2 days swanning around doing nothing (even if that is what I've done :o ). So I'm going to do a brief list :
    • [strike]Make masterbed[/strike]
    • [strike]Tidy Master bedroom[/strike]
    • [strike]Tidy DD's wardrobe (move all school stuff to other cupboard)[/strike]
    • [strike]Tidy up diningtable[/strike]
    • [strike]Tidy up kitchen[/strike]
    • Dishes Nearly done - too many cups/glasses again :o
    • Laundry (2 down, 3 to go but 2 of them are towels so no rush :p) 3rd load in
    • [STRIKE]Tidy desk[/STRIKE]
    • Tidy videos/DVDs
    • HHG
    • [STRIKE]Update Finances :o[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Set budget for August[/STRIKE] £200 for groceries/travel/treats/days out :o
Then I'm going to treat myself to a walk to the duck pond with my camera and see if I can get some photos of the dragonflies that are there :D I tried yesterday but my phone camera is not good enough

I'm babysitting my 2 cousins overnight Thursday - DD doesn't know yet but will no doubt be bouncing when she finds out  Going to prove to be an interesting night, one is 7 (a month older than DD) and the other is not quite 18months yet:eek: Oh well, at least DD and the older one will keep themselves busy...which reminds me I need to put Cbeebies back the the freeview menu and tape some of the programmes ;)

Right, off to wash the dishes
