Sorry another question to the above, does the letters and numbers work from left to right, or right to left, eg

    SD654321 0000

They go from left to right

The 'S' means its settled, so make sure the settled date is on or before your discharge date.

That is OK, apart from the default date being half a month too late.

Probably not worth the hassle of getting that changed, unless you have other accounts from that creditor to correct at the same time.

No. The most important thing is the default date. That is what determines how long everything stays on your report.

That should be on or before your BR date.

    So BR date = 24/05/2011

    Default date = 13/06/2011

So default date is about 20 days after the BR date. That is wrong, but will only keep that account on your report for an extra 20 days. So probably not worth worrying about.

I was made bankrupt in June 2008 and I'm just starting to clean up my files...Trouble is I don't have anything relating to my BR (account numbers or any of my court paperwork). Do I need to get a certificate of discharge and will this have the appropriate info to send to my former creditors (do they need account numbers when you write to them?)

    Thanks for any help :)

Well i have nearly cleaned my files up, but i am confused. Basically my original debts with say halifax, virgin credit cards etc would be fine to sort, but i appear to have debts sold on to the likes of max recovery, C L Finance, and TTI SPC. I think i know which credit card the debt company belings to but .... I have already wrote to my credit card providers as this is also on my credit files. So do i have to write again to cl finance, tti spc for the same debt?

    Thank you x
