Hi All,
I went bankrupt in july 2010 discharged on july 2011 I checked my credit file and only one of my accounts that were included in the bankruptcy are shown as closed/settled all my other accounts show the balance owed and even one that im having a nightmare with FLM! If you know FLM they are a guarntor loan company! When i went bankrupt they removed me from the loan and my mother had to make the payments but they are still updateing my file each month missed payments I have emailed them and this is what they have said :
Hi James,
I understand you are concerned with regards to your FLM Loan account, reference , still showing on your credit file despite your Sequestration.
While you are no longer responsible for making repayments directly towards the account due to your insolvency, the account is still an active account as your Guarantor, Mrs X, is now responsible for repaying the debt in full. As it is still an active account it will continue to show on your credit file - entering Sequestration unfortunately does not make any debt "disappear" from your records.
We have done all we can in regards to confirming the current status of the account with credit reference agencies. Any further issues you may have will need to be resolved directly with the agents handling your Sequestration.
Anyone tell me if this is correct ??0 -
Not really adding to the discussion at this point but I've just got my first report through (Experian) and my god this process feels intimidating:eek:.
Not great to be confronted with the figures again after fifteen months of "freedom" and there seems to be a lot more to it than I thought.
Anyway, one step at a time I'll get through it I'm sure....have some "settled" but I feel a lot of correspondence coming on:(.
Probably be back multiple times for help.“Procrastination is my middle name....well it would be if I could be ar**d to contact Deed Poll."0 -
Hi guys
A quicky I hope. I'm sorry if it's been asked before. On my Equifax report, my EGG account is showing as Default on August 2009, but then as Settled (partial) on September 2009. Is this good enough or should I ask for the default to be removed completely? Overall status is Settled and date is 25/08/2009 (not sure why, as it's two months before BR, but not fussed!).
ThanksBR 22/10/2009 ED 08/07/20100 -
As long as the default date is not later than your BR date it is not a problem, if the date is later than your BR date, I would ask them to amend it, I did with mine. You cannot get the default removed by asking, but it will fall off your record when your BR does or sooner if the date is earlier.:pB&SC No. 298

That's OK then, I wasn't clear if the D(efault) was meant to be completely replaced by S(ettled).

Orange who were included in my bankruptcy have added an "undeclared address change" to my Credit file - they appear to have done an address change on my account to the OR's address which is now showing as a linked address and as I (obviously) didnt declare it as a previous address the CRA's are showing me as having an undeclared address change.
I assume Orange need to correct the address and remove the link but will the CRA remove the undeclared address change?0 -
Oh wel after 9 month and a complaint to the ico lloyds have changed the status I the loan I had

Hi all,
I'm now discharged, and my IPA is done!
I sent off all my clean up letters and have waited over two months to see how many take action. All but RBS and Vanquis have done so.
What's my next move?
Thanks0
