I went to Boots at The Mall, Bristol, this afternoon and the rainbow pallettes were in clearance for £1. Probably still 20-30 left.

Not much else on the clearance shelf though (very poor in fact).

Hope this helps any West Country bootsers!

Ohhh they are £4.25 in my Boots:eek:

I was wondering if any booters on this forum go to the manchester market street branch? Every time i go to town i pop in to boots to look for some lovely bargins, but I can never find where they've hid them :). I've managed to locate it twice, once downstairs against the far wall on the left near the pharmacy and the other time during the January sale when it was upstairs near the baby things and photo machines. Could some one please let me know where they put all of their clearence stock???
    Thanks in advance :)[/quote]

Market street is very poor for bargains.the last clearance it had was about a month ago, and it was located at the end on the aisle that has the Botanics Bath and Body stuff. It isnt a good store for bargains, but it does have nice s/a that will scan vouchers( most of the time).Although, they do have lots of canny university student part time-staff ,who spotted Elle Glitch :rotfl:

Where are my Glitch queens....................I cant wait for a new glitch to appear .Hope its Soap and Glory.

Just to put your minds at ease. The 'keep card' prompted by tills is when the ad card is removed and credit/debit card put in.

We're supposed to hold onto the ad card (keep) and wait until the transaction

has gone through before we give back the ad card back, this is incase a customer

does a runner without paying etc..this has always been the case and is

    nothing new,so please don't worry!

I have a £5 gift voucher, £5 I found on the floor today at Sainsbury's and £35 birthday money left.

I REALLY REALLY like the no 7 GWP, but obviously want to maximise my spend and points and not necessarily spend my own £20 to get it. I need to buy a new pair of shoes too.

Can you wonderful Bootsers help me with a shopping list and ACM vouchers that will increase my spend at little cost with max points please?

What are you wanting...or really not wanting from no7?
Can you use any of the 3 for 2 on washing and bathing?
Or any of the suncare on bogof?
What is the max of your £40 you want to spend in boots?
What boots points/money off vouchers do you have?

Sorry about q's, but someone may be able to suggest something good for you

    Well done! Whereabouts was it?

go downstairs and go to the side section on the right(where the lunches are). Keep to the far left section and about half way down on the left there was a small display around a little corner. i think there's a staff lift near there. I only saw it when I was looking at the cold drinks otherwise very hard to spot! i hope that makes some sense and that you find it.

I think I may have found a glitch, but not yet been to big store to test it out. If you look at the barcodes on the 100 points mens handcream, you will see one ends in 4 and the other 5, it MAY be possible that you get 200 points back when you buy the handcream. I am going to try it when I get to a bigger boots.

Today I went to post a parcel to another MSER but didn't have any bubble wrap. Don't like my local post office, the staff there are so RUDE! So went along to Boots and asked my favourite SA if she had any packing or fat sausages that come in the packages they get. She was lovely and said she keeps all the bubble wrapping and gives it to the charity shop next door for them to use. Talk about RECYCLING! Well, she went in the back and came back with 2 for me! How nice is that!

While I was there I was picking up a few essentials and needed to earn some points, so bought flight socks and used mag voucher and ACM voucher for 300 points for healthcare product. SA was lovely, she read the vouchers and said, "so you can save £5 on the flight socks! How lovely is that!" Then when my receipt printed she was checking my points and said look, you have x amount for PC, for buying items, kiosk offer points, etc. And she said "wow, look you have just gained 668 points."

There are still nice SAs out there, it's just such a shame when we get the ones that are not.
I would imagine they will scan together, like the 50p and £1 off 17 lipgloss do, the 350 points and 300 points no 7 bathing did etc...Good if your oh uses handcream but mine doesnt and even after the 200 points youd get it still works out at £2.95:eek: (after 200 points equivelent of £2)

Sorry Palice, thank you - you just answered my q :) I'm using the liquid soap, the mild clarifying lotion (thought it was number one, but realised mine has not got number on, just assumed it was the first one til I looked on .com) and the continuous rescue antioxidant moisturiser for dry skin, was using dramatically different but didn't like it, so switched to this one, which my friend recommended, also use visible skin renewer, and 7 day scrub.

Gotta go bed, I'm wiped out :)

    Will catch up in morning
Firstly those are all really good choices, and they definitely won't cause you blemishes when used in the right places. The mild clarifiying lotion is wayyy better than any of the others because it doesn't have any alcohol or other irritants. And continuous rescue is sooo much better than dramatically different lotion, comparing them is pretty much like comparing tesco value baked beans and duck à l'orange (I mean in formula not price ;))
I use continuous rescue for dry skin, and turnaround concentrate (this is what you meant right?) and they're both amazing in their own ways. If your skin's producing extra oil during 'that time of the month' then you don't need that extra moisturising on the oily parts, as the formula for dry skin is very emollient so that could be what's causing your blemishes. But you can still give your skin all the antioxidants and nice ingredients by just using the turnaround concentrate on the oily parts, which shouldn't clog your pores, and then use continuous rescue on the dryer parts and around the eyes.
Also, put extra clarifying lotion on the oily parts as it contains salicylic acid which can get through the oil and help clear the pores. Let it sink in for about 5 mins before putting on turnaround concentrate.
If you keep getting blemishes, cut back on the continuous rescue so you're only using a little bit and/or switch to the combination skin version which isn't as emollient. (sorry that's not very MSE though to buy a new one :o but they're about £16 BIN on ebay)
Hopefully it'll just be an issue with your skin around your period and it'll go back to normal when your body does :D

Haha, just read back through this, sorry if it just sounds like a list of orders!! :o
;) One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you! ;)

Was checking out the ROC stand in the Newcastle Eldon Square shop as fancied trying out their stuff given they grade it on age but it is very expensive. They have lots of combination product sets (all £30+) and I noted that a bag I fancied was not priced (dark blue bag with little white patterns). Asked the SA if she could check out the price for me (given there were no "GWP" type promotions and I simply couldn't see what Iwould have to pay for it, or buy to get it) and she came back and said it is coming up as GWP 0.00. Thanked her and said it meant I had to buy some other products with it and I would have a look. Bought some make up wipes @ 5.99, added the bag, and it went through fine. Funny thing was when I got the bag home it contained a full sized pack of said wipes and a selection of sample sized (little tubes, not sachets) products. Very happy.

Of course this is a glitch, and they may have now put it right, but as it stands it looks like it is going through as GWP 0.00 with no purchase. Given there were no advice signs "you need to buy 2 products etc." I don't feel too bad about going through with their cheapest product.

I have spent a while thinking whether I should post this. I am all for what I would term "proper glitches" i.e. they give vouchers that give points or product (e.g the free time delay stuff from a couple of years ago) I am more hesitant when it comes to "mistakes", which this clearly is. I think it is great if someone can get to try out a product for free or cheaply for their own use, but I am not so keen on those that then abuse the glitch. By this I mean people who will push as many bags through the till as possible without buying any product and will immediately list them on ebay, or those who get free product and then repeatedly take them back for refunds to get revenue, rather than the product didn't suit them.

I know that this post may get responses along the lines of "get off your high horse" and my OH has said the same "if people want to be entrepreneurial, then let it be" but when this thread was started it was "moneysaving", not "moneymaking at the cost of everyone else" and if Boots do get a flood of the latter, then they spoil it for the former.

I'll stop ranting now, and climb down from the horse. Anyway the GWP was going through (saturday) with no other requirement.

    Sal xx

As an aside, for Newcastle shoppers, they have a discount section, and there was loads of time delay serum (sorry thrown the box, and cannot find it on the website) for less than £2. I know there is a points coupon floating about that is worth more than this, but moreover, I bought this stuff without the coupon, and I can highly recommend it anyway, I have noticed a change in my skin almost immediately. They also have the pink No.7 (?) jewellry type cases for £3, there are enough products in it to justify the spend (imo) but the vouchers within are out of date.
