By this I mean people who will push as many bags through the till as possible without buying any product and will immediately list them on ebay, or those who get free product and then repeatedly take them back for refunds to get revenue, rather than the product didn't suit them.

It would seem that Boots agree with you, and appear to be clamping down on this sort of thing.I really cant see returning items for profit, that went through the tills free, as anything other than stealing. However cards are being taken ,points lost, and it seems some innocent folks are getting caught in the crossfire and having their cards/points taken too.Like many things, it seems to be a small minority spoiling it for everyone else.
I appreciate Each and Every win. I thank every comp poster from the bottom of my heart :A

    Good idea,
I was thinking that about the expert glitch earlier as long as you are not buying products aswell which are just for points :D

    xxxx

I thought when you were using PC coupons you *had* to use your ad card, as you have to have a card to even get the coupons? I would be interested to know if PC coupons work without the card!

Although even if they do, some SAs would probably force you to use the card, anyway. I had one No7 SA who told me all kinds of things that simply weren't true, like I *had* to checkout at her counter if I had No7, and that my card *had* to be used if I was using the printable 5-pound off coupon we had awhile back. I know you don't need an ad card for till spits and manufacturers coupons because I didn't use my ad card for about the first year I had it.

mrscb, re:"Keep card" on till. I had this come up last week and I am very selective with what vouchers I use so didn't think there was any reason to need my card. then I wondered if it just had something to do with paying by debit card and it didn't literally mean to keep the card, but just that it needed to be taken out of the chip and pin machine but not given back to me yet, if that makes sense?

anyway SA didn't keep card and I've had no problems since so I'm inclined to think that's what it meant...

    HTH

Ah, I think you may be right! I think maybe tills sometimes (or maybe all the time?) tell SAs to take the debit card, perhaps to verify the signature or that it really belongs to the person using it? And most SAs probably just don't bother with that?

Edit: And I see someone else gave the reason, all is well. :)
  • Thanks bebebelle!

I was trying to be canny student too, but failed :)

Do you have better luck in any other stores around manchester city centre?

Market street is very poor for bargains.the last clearance it had was about a month ago, and it was located at the end on the aisle that has the Botanics Bath and Body stuff. It isnt a good store for bargains, but it does have nice s/a that will scan vouchers( most of the time).Although, they do have lots of canny university student part time-staff ,who spotted Elle Glitch :rotfl:

Where are my Glitch queens....................I cant wait for a new glitch to appear .Hope its Soap and Glory.
