I went to Boots at The Mall, Bristol, this afternoon and the rainbow pallettes were in clearance for £1. Probably still 20-30 left.
Not much else on the clearance shelf though (very poor in fact).
Hope this helps any West Country bootsers!

Ooooo, I'm holding out for them to go down to £1 in my store too - I fancy a few of the brown ones - nearly caved in at £4.50 but no way now I know they're £1 in places!! :rotfl:"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0 -

I work in Darlington but live in North Tyneside (just round the corner from the silverlink if anyone knows it - it has a boots, so I'd be surprised if you didn't!;) ) Anyway, I am leaving work early on friday, as I have some flexi built up and am itching to go bootsing, but I need to know which are the best local boots stores for bargains. Also if you know which stores have a clinique counter I'd be very grateful, all I know is Eldon Square and Metrocentre have one, Silverlink doesn't.
In theory I could visit any of the stores along my usual route (A1 then possibly A19 through tyne tunnel or continue up A1 as far as Gosforth) on the way home, or can take a few other routes home (A167 to chester le street then A1, etc) although I'd rather not do Durham city centre unless it's really worth it as it'll mean doing the park & ride. I came up with the following list using the store locator, so which do you feel are worth a visit, and are there any you'd automatically miss cos they're not worth the effort?Darlington (2 stores), Newton Aycliffe, Bishop Auckland, Spennymoor, Durham, Peterlee, Arnison centre, Chester le Street, Stanley, The Galleries, Washington, Team Valley, Metrocentre, Gateshead, Newcastle City Centre, Silverlink, plus any I've missedThanks in advance, and thanks to everyone who posts glitches on here!:T
would not bother with washington.....never got a sniff of an offer there and no acm. team valley ok had loads pink boxes£3 yesterday.palettes £4.63 and had both colourways.no botanics clearance stuff, loads tb bags also have ts root touch up stuff for £1.75 should work with free offer from mag.
not sure about clinique, clearance bit before tills not much when i was there though.:beer: Am thinking of a new one:beer:0 -

Before this lot of offers (he only got offered 100 points mens handcream and free razor wyb blades) he didnt get any offers!
snipped
I think I may have found a glitch, but not yet been to big store to test it out. If you look at the barcodes on the 100 points mens handcream, you will see one ends in 4 and the other 5, it MAY be possible that you get 200 points back when you buy the handcream. I am going to try it when I get to a bigger boots.
Today I went to post a parcel to another MSER but didn't have any bubble wrap. Don't like my local post office, the staff there are so RUDE! So went along to Boots and asked my favourite SA if she had any packing or fat sausages that come in the packages they get. She was lovely and said she keeps all the bubble wrapping and gives it to the charity shop next door for them to use. Talk about RECYCLING! Well, she went in the back and came back with 2 for me! How nice is that!
While I was there I was picking up a few essentials and needed to earn some points, so bought flight socks and used mag voucher and ACM voucher for 300 points for healthcare product. SA was lovely, she read the vouchers and said, "so you can save £5 on the flight socks! How lovely is that!" Then when my receipt printed she was checking my points and said look, you have x amount for PC, for buying items, kiosk offer points, etc. And she said "wow, look you have just gained 668 points."
There are still nice SAs out there, it's just such a shame when we get the ones that are not.0
