  • Quick question from me (kinda Boots related ;))

If you receive a payment through Paypal for non eBay goods, do you have to pay Paypal fees (as you do when you receive payment for stuff you've sold on eBay) I need to sort out how those of you who got lucky in Mr Buffy Bat's Boots Blitz yesterday are going to send me the money - Would prefer not to have to pay Paypal fees several times over - they make enough money outta me already! Don't worry those of you who have asked to pay by postal order, that's ok :)

To keep it really Boots related ;) Is it normal for new AC holders not to get many offers in the ACM for a bit? Mr Buffy Bat has had his card for a while now and gets *** all out of the machine :(
My oh has only had his a few months and only gets a few offers :( Before this lot of offers (he only got offered 100 points mens handcream and free razor wyb blades) he didnt get any offers!
Whenever ive sent people money via paypal (not for ebay goods) it has charged me fees :(

    Hey all,

finally managed to pluck up the courage to ring CS, got a lovely chap who was really helpful and was appalled at SA's behaviour, he said the complaint will be passed on to the store manager who will deal with the SA accordingly, was very apologetic but no points for me, but at least if the manager has a word with SA it may stop her from making anyone else feel so upset :) Still not keen on going back to boots :( I know its silly but just how I feel.

On another note, I've been using clinique last few weeks and I've gone all spotty, I'm using the right type for my skin, but also currently time of the month so I don't know if its the clinique or just me hehe, just wondered if anyone else who has dry skin, and is relatively blemish free has had the same probs with it?

Thanks hunni, took me long enough to do it, but I thought I wouldn't want anyone else to be spoken to like that and the only way to stop that happening is to complain - some points woulda been nice, but you can't have everything ;)

They've changed this recently, you can receive the money for free as long as its marked as a personal payment and funded either by a paypal balance or bank account (not a card). There's a bit more info here:

UPDATE PART 2 lol: I have added up all requests and I have 2 spare rainbow palettes left if anyone would like them (plus one reserved for Iieee!, so might be 3 if she doesn't want it!). They were £2.63 each. They are small and light so postage shouldn't be much. PM if anyone would like to give them a home!
    TIA

Tiara that is so kind of you. :) I must admit though, it was kind of a treat with my points, I did um and er a bit and I was sort of relieved in a way that it's got to go back... so it's probably best that you let someone else have it. Thanks so much for thinking of me though! :)

Any idea why they might want to keep your card? I'd be nervous too, not sure I'd call and ask CS about it as it would make them try to look for problems. It might be best to spend your points, though if your card is flagged in the system you may be unable to as that notice would show up next time you use it. I'd stick it into an ACM before checking out and see if you get any message. Maybe you should spend the points, you could do some Christmas shopping early? Or just buy things you are sure can be returned (not cosmetics), and if you think the problem has gone away, return them to get the points put back on your card later?
dont think ive been naughty(apart from not actually spending£20 to get no7 gwp)used a lot of vouchers previous shop but all legitimate.i also thought if i rang cs it would be drawing attention to myself. ay po to my small local boots and see nice sa to see what happens. thanks everyone.

My local boots (Harlow) is having a digital camera clearout, I bought a Kodak that was £200 when it came out for £25. They had a few others but not many, and it's whatever stock is left. Stock will vary across stores as it's whats left but it may be worth calling in if your thinking of a new camera.
