Squiggly - what beautiful cats! Are you really going to rehome them? I'd have them like a shot, if I didn't know that mine would object!0

Afternoon All
Another busy week here so hence why I've not been around. Seems to be all spend, spend, spend with nothing coming in at the moment. Got the forms for the planning application for my windows - that'll cost another £150.
Another week ahead of me - actually socialising for once. Auditioned for a job earlier, so fingers crossed there. Also registered on some jobs sites.
Doing my charity bike ride on Friday. Also hoping to go to Uganda with the charity at some point.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

We have been given 2 garden benches, one lovely wooden one that just needs cleaning up and a plastic coated one, just need the time to sit in the garden now!

Evening all!
Hope everyones had a nice day
We went out last night and didn't get home til 6.10am  so I stayed in bed til 1pm and have had a lazy afternoon, only housework I've done is washing dishes and washing clothes! OH has popped to his friends so I'm now watching The First Wives Club on telly as opposed to the usual cartoons and car programmes I'm normally subjected to!
Squiggly ... those cats are gorgeous! And Lola is like a spitting image of our cat Suki!
Was meant to be cooking shepherds pie this evening but as OH has gone out and is not sure when he'll be back I'll probably do that tomorrow so now I have to find something else to eat!Small business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
Thought would pop on to say hello.
Old style is fairly new territory for me.

Been trying to reply for ages - couldn't get the site to display properly, it was being all weird!!
Anyway, the lady who does the home-visits has phoned & is coming tomorrow between 11 & 1!!!!! As long as she approves us (and I can't see any reason why she won't) I will be able to go & pick them up whenever I'm readyI shall go & spend a fortune in PetsAtHome or somewhere first on cat toys, bowls & assorted bits to spoil them with....
It will be nice having a cat(s) again - my last boy disappeared around 18 months ago, I think he went off & had a massive stroke as he'd been having "episodes" yet the vet said they couldn't find anything wrongSo now the building work is all done I think its the right time & I thought it would be nicer to rehome adult cats even though kittens are very cute & tempting.....
Melvis - wow, Suki is almost identical!! And very pretty. I made shepherd's pie for dinnerIt was lovely...
Scuzz, good luck with the job applications & also the bike ride Friday.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
Hi everyone
Not caught up on the weekends threads yet. Just got home from the truck show. Dreadful weather, raining on and off all day yesterday and very windy today with a couple of showers thrown in:eek:.
We still had a good time though, OH's boss and wife really put themselves out for this, the provide all food and drink over the weekend. I didn't make breakfast this morning as OH had got up and I couldn't work out how to get the ladder down so I could get down from the top bunk, I waited so long I fell back asleep:rotfl:he finally came back and woke me up at 11.15:eek:.
Back to the new strange job tomorrow, been doing a lot of thinking about it and as long as they are prepared to pay me to sit and do nothing I will stay there while looking for something else.
Am now going to put wm on as have bag of stuff from the weekend to wash, then will catch up on here.whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Welcome Teria and Beanielou - glad you have joined us!
Squiggly - those cats are gorgeous as is Melvis's Suki! I love cats; don't have any of my own at the moment but I'm 'Nan' to DS2's cat.
Mrs Cupier - I'm really impressed by your Dalek fleet; they all look fantastic!
Well, I had a lovely time at DGD's wonderful ballet performance. The first part was classic Hansel and Gretel and the second part was modern dance and I thoroughly enjoyed it all. Had to shed a few tears when DGD came on in her beautiful blue tutu; she's only five and did her 'bit' so well it's bringing a lump to my throat just thinking about it. The ballet school do a performance like this every other year and they work so hard on it. There were almost 500 costumes all made voluntarily and the choreography is superb. One of the male dancers is leaving this year to join the Ballet Rombere (sp) - he is mesmerising to watch.
Well, I hope everyone has had a good day and not had rain. It's actually not been too bad today with a fair bit of sunshine so let's hope it lasts.
Well, off for a sit down and a bit of knitting.
See you all later.

Evening all,
Had breakfast in bed this morning...a fry and all the things I shouldn't eat...but it was lovely!
Did very little to-day...cooked dinner of pork chops, carrots, celery and baked potatoes...meant to do pudding but got lazy.
Aussie...how well you sussed me out from just one meeting...I will not be busily cleaning for Shez' arrival!! I am looking forward to the meet.
Catowen...sorry to hear about your friend's skin cancer, but they seem to be very adept in Oz at whipping bits off before they become a problem....I agree with you about the 'winter'...I left Melbourne on June 24th and temperature was somewhere around 20c...Queenslanders, as far as I can see, have water running in their veins and feel cold if it is less than 25c!
Welcome Teria and Beanilou...its nice hear when you get used to the lunacy!
Hugs to all who are in any kind of pain to-day, and congratulations to those celebrating.
Squiggly...like the cats...ours has clung like a limpet since we came back off holidays..he is worse than a small child.
Sleep well all

Evening, welcome to Teria & Beanie.
I had a lovely day at the golf, although I was sorry that Greg Norman did not win. Lovely lunch, afternoon tea and all drinks were included
Squiggly, pleased you had a nice weekend and TattyCath sounds brighter today also.
Shez, enjoy your holiday.
Mrs Cupier, the Daleks are brilliant and you make it sound so easy.
Scuzz, hope you get the job.
Oh well, think I'll go and make us a cup of tea, whilst I wait for the highlights and try and spot myself on TV.
Hugs to those in need, Candy, Chrisca, Pink1970, Bethebee, and those who I've not mentioned.
