morning all,
Lovely day here sun is out and its blowing, got a wash in the wm, which I will get on the line in a bit, I also have two turkey legs in the sc which will be turned into a curry later, they were just over £1 each, so a cheap meal :T .
Got to get the mail today dd wants the Mcfly cd which comes free with it, and also need to get a blow up bed in mr T, dd has her friend coming to stay on Tuesday for a week, she now lives in Dubai, but they have stayed close friends, so she needs some where to sleep. Her parents are over here too, they have rented a flat for the summer I think the girls will be going there over the next weekend.
Other than that will have a lazy day, might potter a bit in the garden, take little dog for a walk, and thats about it.
Cat sorry to hear about your friend xx
Kathy, hope your chest feels better soon, get your DH to rub something into it
Blairwitch, hugs to your gran xx
Smoky, how are you doing ? xx

Morning all. I don't post on here as often as I'd like (cos DH says if I get on the computer in the morning, I'm lost for the day....), but I wanted to send hugs to all that need / want them.
Big day today - minor #1 has his Super Secret Spy 7th birdthday party at 2.30. 8 overexcited 7 year olds running round my house / garden 'spying' and solving mysteries while I try to keep them out of the cake. I'm terrified. There are games planned etc, but I'm all too aware that the traditional riot (that always arrives at some point) can break out too early.
Hey ho. Also washing and ironing today (school STILL not finished, so a full set of uniforms needed tomorrow) and tidying. Lemonade is made though, cake is iced (a Dalek attack fleet), sandwiches are planned if not made. These rest of the day may not happen as intended, but THERE WILL BE A PARTY.

Morning all!
Cat - sorry to hear about your friend - hope everything goes well. I'm sure she'll appreciate the card!
Ragz - don't know about henpecking advice - but maybe you can tell him that if YOU have to do that PLUS your regular things, you'll be FAR too tired for anything else tonight!
MrsC - I don't envy you a houseful of 7 year olds!! The ccake sounds very cool - can you post a pic? Did you make it?
It's DS's birthday today, he's 2. Thankfully, too little for a houseful of children for a party. We're popping over to the grandparents for a visit this afternoon, and he'll have a little cake and presents. Very low key. I'll enjoy it while he's young, as I'm sure that'll change as he gets older.
We've gotten the bushes trimmed back in the rear garden, the grass mowed, laundry out on line. Now I can relax a bit, as late this afternoon we'll be painting a bedroom! Busy busy day!!MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
Morning everyone
A Dalek attack fleet sounds great Mrs Cupier :T
Not much planned for today really. Late night last night (nothing exciting, just sorting out photos for printing at Boots and drinking lots of wine)
Managed to clear three giant cardboard boxes full of clothes yesterday (all taken to the Salvation Army bins at Tesco) Some items had been hanging around for years but I'd not previously wanted to part with them, was feeling tough yesterday thoughGoing to have another clearout today of non clothes stuff which can go to charity (maybe the odd item on eBay)
Homemade steak and red onion pizza for dinner tonight, some more wine and Top Gear on the TV

Hi all. We came back from car boot early as the heavens opened and there was a deluge of rain!!! We did manage to make about £25 profit (after the pitch was taken off) and we got rid of some bulky items so that was pleasing. Having a cuppa now and trying to get warm.
We shall be back to do another car boot as soon as good weather is forecast for a sunday (hopefully in 2 weeks)

Morning, just a flying visit from me today. I'm waiting for friends to pick me up and take me to the Golf at Birkdale. Very moneysaving, free entry and hospitality.
Keep an eye out for me if you happen to be watching on TV, I'll be The Twit.
Love to all. :grouphug:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Argor! Cannot get pic to post - will have to ask DH later when dust settles. Rest assured that minor #1 says cakes are 'very cool', and what higher praise is there from a seven year old?0
