Good morning everyone,

Blairweech - Hope your Gran is feeling better soon, hopefully they will keep a better eye on her this time, due to what happened last time!
ioite - well done on your weight loss!!! Hope the coughing goes soon x
tatty - good luck at the car boot - we so need to do one, my bedroom is full of stuff to be sold (and more in the loft!) but i am too lazy to get up at 6 on a Sunday, especially as im up during the week at 6, and would also have to get DS and DD up to come with me!!!
miolierre - hope the chesty feeling goes soon x
N9eav - hope your duck turns up soon!
DG - think you will be finding it artic when you get back here!!! Dont forget to pack your jumpers!!
Aussie - was speaking to my friend in Melbourne, and your winter is still warmer than our summer!! Hope you have a more peaceful day today x
sistercas - hope DH had a good trip away!
Squiggly - ((HUGS)) from yesterday - i must admit, men like that are one of the reasons im still on my own, im 36 and my children are 10 and 11, so think i will still have time when they are older to find someone for me - at the moment, they are my life and a man would just get in the way. 2 children bring enough problems without a man. Also i have so many plans and things i want to do, someone else added to the mix would prob get in the way!!!
:grouphug: and :hello: to anyone ive crossed with(Essex girl :hello:), or who needs or just wants one xxx
Well, i spoke to my best friend in Australia and found out the dreadful news that she has been diagnosed with skin cancer. I am absolutly gutted for her, although im sure she is in a much better country to deal with it than here. They saw her on Thursday, and it will be removed on Tuesday (and she will see the same consultant throughout her recovery (cos thats what it will be!)) I just wish i could be there for her - they havnt told her children (just thats shes having a lump removed) there is no pint in scareing them unless they have to. I do feel helpless being so far away, but ive already stuck a card in the post, and tomorrow im going to send her some more chocolate - i know she misses our choc so hopefully that will cheer her up!
Yesterday i was really busy, had 3 of my friends children here all day (7.30 - 5.30) whilst she moved house - they were all good as gold so not to much of a hardship! I sorted out everything from under my stairs (thats where i keep all my childminding stuff, its open plan so was looking a bit untidy and disorganised) but now looks a lot better. Its also cleaner as movving it all out meant i could get to the skirting boards and edges etc to clean. I still have that horrible smell in my hall and kitchen, so it wasnt anything under the stairs - starting to run out of ideas now about it. It comes along every 6 months or so and i have no idea what it is. Ive cleaned everywhere in the kitchen, bleached the kitchen sink and the drains but its still there!!
Today is going to be a more lazy day - i have my bedding in the WM at the mo, and will be making roast chicken for lunch. I do need to strim the grass (still dont have a lawn mower!) but i may or may not do that. We still have plenty of cake left over from my baking on Thursday and Friday, although if i get a rush of energy i might make some biscuits while the roasties are cooking. I also have my weigh in later, not hoping for much as i made cupcakes on Friday, and i must admit they were delicious!! Must remember to upload the few things i listed on ebay turbo lister last night as well!
Right, better get moving! Have a lovely day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Morning all,
Have to vacum through as the floor is covered in bits of thread, I finished the double sided curtains and made two bed cushions.
Managed to dry 2 washes on the line, it was quite sunny y/day. Not ironing today, against my religion.
Roast lamb and all trimming for DH's dinner, I'm having cod YS. and salad. I still haven't shopped since I got back from hols, have been sending DH so I don't get tempted.
BM on and DW emptied. Must get some weeding done, the bindweed is taking over, like The Triffids.
((((((((( Hugs to everyone))))))))))0 -
Morning everyone
Catowen - so sory to hear about your friend - she will be touched to receive your card and chocolate
Donny Gal - you'll definately need your thermals
Blairweech - fingers crossed for your Gran
Mioliere - keep an eye on your chest
Well it's another blowy day today - hopefully it won't rain and I can then put the sheets on the line
Going to get showered in a mo and start the ironing  Also need to stick a loaf in the BM, was going to do a full English this morning, but we've got some doughnuts that need eating up, so I thought I'd do an "American" - coffee and doughnuts
Want to do some more knitting today if I get round it to it - we'll see
Anyway have a great day everyone (((((hugs)))))Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Cat Your friend will be in very good hands. I'm not saying your doctor's over there are rubbish
but we are more on top of all that over here. The only thing is that I don't think she'll be able to eat chocolate so if you just send it to me, I'll take care of it.
Plus I really don't believe your friend in Melbourne.
It's been way colder than that.
Shez As if I would. Have a lovely holiday in case I don't get back on until you leave. Snowy is probably busy cleaning in readiness for your arrival.
My sewing machine is playing up now. I've had this one an awfully long time.Has to be 20 years old. I really think I deserve a new one.
Byeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all! The sun is shining here, and things are a little better on yesterday. I plan another day of squirrelling ready for winter and whatnot, and I shall have much fun doing it.
Making a rum fruitcake to help cheer up a friend and I shall probably get a little cleaning done then - the hoovering won't do itself, sadly! I have a few articles to write, and then I'm just serving leftover pie with mash, veg and gravy for tea. I want to get into the habit of making a dessert for once a week as a special treat, but the cake will have to do today!
(((hugs))) to everyone in need, or just feeling like one. Hope you have wonderful Sundays.Claero

Morning everyone. Not sure what planned for today but yesterday was interesting. Delivered nasty letter to nasty man, except he didn't live where we thought he did so drove around looking for his landrover, found it, looked him up in phonebook and delivered to that address - hope it was right as you can't take people to court without their address!
It was really nerve wracking as I had to put it through the door while they were all watching me through the kitchen window. He's a farmer so I quickly ran away in case I got shot with an air rifle!
Today I want OH to do the mountains of recycling but I have been saying that for the last month or so so I don't hold out much hope

Lovely sunny morning here. Have had 2 cups of tea and about to put the kettle on for another before I tackle the garden. I am doing it in baby steps as I am not too keen a gardener but am trying to be converted! Have hurt my dodgy shoulder pulling out an enormous yellow flowery weed (which shot up round the back of the garage in about a week!! - ok, maybe 2!!) so will be careful. I have been doing exerciss and massaging it and it was getting a lot better so I'll just have to watch out and put OH on large weed duties if I find any more.
Other plans - maybe, just maybe, do the fiddly paint bits I didn't do yesterday. It would be nice to get the loo finished and move the dog food back in (handy place).
Big hugs to those who are worried about friends and family ((((hugs))))
