Straight away all 3 times, aged 18, 20 and 30!
We went from talking about it to pregnant in less than a month each time.
Well, except for number two who was the result of a one-off lapse in contraceptive use (not much talking went on with that one!) :rotfl:0 -
I came off the pill and it took apx 2 years (i was 22) unfortunatley mc but was pg again 3 months later and now have ds whos almost 2. We decided to start trying again in June this year when we went on holiday....im currently 6 weeks into my first trimester and this one is due mid march 09. I am amazed it happened so quickly this time but def agree with others about stressing about it-i think that's why it took so long the first time. I will be 26 when this one is born. Good luck and enjoy the 'practising'.xx0

3 times less than a month 1st time i was 24 my friend said we must have been at it like rabbits :rotfl: 2nd time thought it would take a while so was a bit surprised  we did nothing out of the ordinary i think being chilled about it helps had a friend and she was desperate (it took over her life and she still didnt get pregnant).good luck and dont listen to the doc theyre not always right.:D0

I think, & this thread sums it up, that there is no "normal" time that it takes. I fell whilst on the pill (within days of starting the atkins diet) with DD1 & day1 of trying with DD2. I was 32 when I fell with the eldest & 34 with the second.
Good luck

My family are bad reproducers. I worry about it alot that when i come to want a child im going to have to wait as long as my mum did to have me: 13 years.
I know i wont leave it late to start trying cos i dont believe it will happen as quick as, although i guess you never know!!0 -
It took my DH to hear the snap of knicker elastic, and that was it! Pregnant during the 1st week of the honeymoon, and we'd given ourselves a year to try!!!
Same for the next 3 too - and after that I always kept a pair of housebricks close by me to deter any further advances! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
my first i stopped taking the pill and got pregnant pretty much straight away,i was 28. my second ,at 33, i also was using impalon and even though my doctor told me it would be out of my system in 24 hours it took us 3 months of trying and i mean trying!!!:rotfl:
you spend the first years of your childs life encouraging them to walk and talk and then spend the next 15 years telling them to sit down and shut up!

I took me about 18 months after coming off the pill. I had been on the pill for about 4 years. I was 23 when I had the twins.
It took a while as I have irregular cycles, sometimes no period for up to five months at a time  . But like buses we waited for ages then two came along at onceTwins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
I was 27 when I conceived my first son, two months after coming off the pill though I didn't expect to catch so soon. But when I tried for no 2 five years later I had no luck after 9 months of very actively trying. I gave up trying, started a new job and went on holiday and bingo - I fell pregnant again.0
