I didn't bother with it. Just had it for a week no probs so far. IBM are known for their reliability.

  • :rudolf: I can confirm that these thinkpads are excellent, I bought 2, I really like the Thinkpad no nonsense design, and I am sure that the only real difference between a 1.4 Celeron and a 1.4 Centrino , as they are both wireless is that the Celeron doesnt have some of the advanced power saving features, its just as fast and has 1 MB of L2 cache, same FSB speed and excellent screen and keyboard....oh and I love the trackpoint mouse thingy, very precise
If you are looking for a rugged reliable laptop...this is very hard to beat,,AND you will always get bits (batteries etc) for an IBM...just take a look on E-Bay

    Cheers :snow_laug :j

Was in Staples Cardiff Bay today, no IBM but they did have another laptop for sale for the same price...can't rember make or spec but I'd assume it will be a nationwide offer.

The NEC M5210 is the one on offer in Staples for £400. Read on the dvd forum that there is a possible problem with writing cd/dvd's on the nec.

I should have been clearer in my post. That's the point. They were selling off the old spec to make way for the upgrade.
