Anyone know if you can sue NUS discount to buy this?0
-
Nope, staples don't do student/nus discounts.
I guess if you knew someone that worked there, then maybe you could recieve a 10% staff discount or if you have a staples business a/c I think they recieve 20% but you have to have a bank account with them and its for business customers only I think0 -

If you have a NHS discount card for use at Staples, I don't see why you can't use it with this offer, but check the T&Cs of the discount card."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Hang on, whats a NHS discount card?
Staples don't do student/NUS discounts, I've checked0 -
Sorry studentdave, we appear to have posted at almost the same time
Worse still, I confused NUS with NHS"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Hi all,
I know I am risking a biased view here but could you good people help me decide which laptop to choose:
I recently purchased a Dell 6000:
1.6ghz - Centrino
60 GB Hard Drive
512 Ram
Wireless enabled
On board Graphics
15.4 widescreen
DVD RW (SL)
This cost me £498
I have also been given an IBM R50e for work which has made me think about giving the Dell back.
With a memory upgrade for the thinkpad (£30 approx) I would save £70
For a £70 save I loose:
20gb hard drive
0.2ghz processor
But gain
Better build quality
Should I go for the dell or IBM.
Look foward to your replies...
Thanks!

You would also lose a Centrino (Pentium M) processor vs Celeron M, widescreen display and shipping costs back to Dell. I would also question whether the Lenovo/IBM does in fact have better build quality than Dell.
Doesn't make sense to me!0 -
I'd give back the Dell - my experience with their laptops has been very poor - I had a bunch of laptops with mouse drift , which made them unusable for me. I would certainly believe that the IMB build quality is also better. No links in signatures please.0

Hey guys, are these still available in-store?0
-
Many stores seem to have sold out, however they may have ordered more stock so you'll have to find out at your local branch0
