Guys you would not BELEIVE whats just happened!
My mate lives near where this idiot pulled out from onto the road. As he's been drivnig me everywhere he picked me up and took me back to is. Anyway passing cul de sacs I'm looking at cars in hope..
Suddenly I see it! Parked up outside some flats!!!!!!! My mate pulled behind it with ligjhts on. Could see obvious paint damage to rear centre which has also had attention. Not a LOT but obvious somethings happened!
I've called the police and added it to the incident. I think the traffic officer invesitgating my case will go look at it tonight!!!!!!![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Hopefully something positive  I suspect that if that is the registered address that if they would look they'd already have looked anyway?!0

I'm baffled what does that add to your case? It still shows that you rear ended a vehicle.
Surely the traffic dept investigating know where the owner lives as you've given them the reg.0 -
Keep a note of where it is and when everything's died down in a month or two, if no luck doing his insurance, a little visit with a couple of house bricks perhaps? :A0

Lets say it's not his reg'd address... how would they find out where the car is? It may be reg'd in another city.. now we know 100% without having to wait weeks of paperwork where it is.
That means the police can look at the car without waiting weeks of paperwork and SEE the damage..
They need evidence I rear ended him before they can even contemplate prosecuting him for doing it on purpose. If he ignores the police or denies he was there, and gets his car fixed within the next few weeks I'd be stuffed!
Maybe I'm getting over-excited, but ask yourself this. WOULDNT YOU?![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

I'd be very surprised if the CPS raise a case against the other driver. You were not following at a safe distance and you rear ended him.
Perhaps, he managed to maintain control of his vehicle whilst throwing coins/stones at you. Something I doubt very much.
Your story has a lot of holes apart from one. You went into the rear of a vehicle because you did not leave a safe distance in the event that the vehicle in front stopped.
Would I get excited? No, I'd have left a safe distance and not got involved in such a petty row.0 -
Keith I've been in a similar situation to the OP, albeit probably 20 odd years ago, which is why I have some sympathy in this case - road rage is nothing new. Believe me if someone overtakes you then cuts back in and slams on the brakes you will have a poor chance of avoiding them, you would have to brake before they didI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
oh no! please dont say your insured with endsleigh?? i was insured previously by markerstudy which is part of endsleigh. they take absolutely ages to deal with claims. i had nightmares with mine which they are still having trouble getting money out of tp when the claim was settled in full in my favour in 2006.
i doubt any accident management company would touch this case either im afraid. i suggest if you get no joy, then your better off repairing the car yourself, or buy a new one, and claiming off tp insurance for losses.
hope you do get some luck though!0 -

You're saying I'm lying?
Wow. Crazy.
First of all the op was swerving while throwing coins at me... I didn't say he drove in a perfectly straight line did I? Hows that a hole? Plus there are tiny dents (coin size?) now on the door side of my car!
Secondly he pulled in front of me though as soon as I started braking once he'd done that, he'd already broken. There was NO chance of me avoiding it unless I was braking before he pulled in front of me.
He was in the other damn lane as well. So as for "not following at a safe distance". That's rubbish! It was a dual carriageway. He was in the right lane throwing the coins etc and he pulled in front of me!
And as for your "Petty" bit. My girlfriend has back ache, my friend got whiplash as well as me. I can't afford over £1000 to fix my car. If this is "petty" for you, then how about you come and pay my repairs?
