over spend and over eat

This will make some of you sick. My Missis eats loads and loads; and I mean loads and she's a size 8!
Our food shopping bill is far more than it should be.
But she's a runner (I'm sure she suffers from OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)), because she's got to train 6 days a week; and on a Sunday she'll do a 3 hour long run), and has to force herself to have a rest day.
In between she never stops cleaning/hooving/ironing! It's got to be OCD, though I'm no doctor.
But you should see our food bill!
Hiya tosh1, If this comes over not nice (sh) sorry. Was that post meant to support us in some way. If it was, could you please explain how ?

Sorry, I didn't mean my post to be annoying; not much anyway!
Maybe I was just trying to show the flip side of the coin; My Missis does far too much, and often suffers because of it; but that's the way she is and I try my best to rein her in and encourage her to take time to rest; but she is super-human; mostly.
Me? I'm only human, like most of us here; hence my innapropriate post which I genuinely apologise for.
I'm trying to stop smoking (for the umpteenth time); I'm replacing cigs with crisps; it's tough - and fattening - and I've done two short runs, and one little bike ride in the past week in an attempt to counteract the probable weight-gain; and I've currently got the heart-and-lungs of a seventy-year-old asthma sufferer, despite being 38-years-old.
You lot aren't the only ones with problems!
But I am sorry, honestly, if I've wound any of you up.0 -
Do not buy anything you can not afford with a credit card. Credit cards are an expensive way of borrowing than your local bank loan which offers better rates and better terms for you. If you are going to use a credit card, use credit card that offers 0% on balance transfers.
Sandwiches, burgers, fizzy drinks, sweets, potato crisps and takeaways are more expensive and do not nourish your body like the less cheaper fruits and vegetables. Instead of buying a expensive sandwich from a shop, taking a pack lunch will save you a lot of money.
I know all that, the problem I have is "doing it"Do You manage to do it all ?

Emmylou, I did catch you daughter picture, she is soooooo bite-able. Hope that doesn't sound strange. I have 11 month old GD and I want to bite her all the time. We have already decided not to have a holiday next year. Even though are finances will be much improved. We always go abroad to a different country, last year we went to Marrakesh. We are going to start saving after our holiday. So have decided to go camping next year in this country. We are both outdoorsy people and we both game for a laugh. so should be fun.

Bluejeans,
I'm no guru, but try starting SMALL. I've fell off the smoking bandwagon many a time, normally when I've tried to make too many changes at the same time, and believe me, when it comes to addiction food and smoking have many similarities.
Tomorrow, say 'NO' to yourself to two things that you consider not to be beneficial to your health.
Will you do that?
Just two items of food you'd normally consume.
Nothing else is required.0 -
Hi bluejeans,
I think it was staying in a house for a week and because it had stairs that I had to keep running up and down to watch tv etc and also less chocolate....well considerably less I think...lol0 -
Lynn Hiya, oo 100 mile round trip. Thats a Lotta petrol, unless money is Fandabbydozyeeee. I agree with you "There loss". good on you for contacting the guy. I agree, and I tell all my buddies on here to make small changes too. I will take up your challenge and say "NO" to two things that I would consider not beneficial to my health.
Tosh1 glad to have you with us (I think), I am a very vunerable person, trying to sort her issues out and would be devastated if I thought someone was taking the P**s, I'll put it down too "mens brain verses womens brain", go and type it in to you tube, Its sooooo true. Smoking is as bad as over eating, i agree to that too.
And you may come in useful :rotfl: as, as far as I am aware, you are the only man on here, so maybe we may benefit from a male point of view.
