Alton towers!! I'm jealous. Not been there in years.
Only 2 weeks until the holiday which I cant really afford but its my sisters 21st and dad wanted us out in Egypt.. so hes paid my flights thank goodness!! Trying to have a NSD today, going well so far.
Although I have £40 on my work ID badge which we use to pay for lunch so technically this money was already out of my budget and I'm mearly collecting my pre paid lunch when I go to the canteen... do you think?!:heart2: Its 12 o'clock and I need your attention :heart2:Debt at Aug 2008 : Bank of Scotland CC : £1605 :mad:Overdraft : GONE!:j:staradmin Debt free aim: Sometime in 2009:staradmin0 -
Is there a 'use by' date?
You could use it every other day or once a week on a Friday or something:D Up to you!!
lol - we're going to egypt a week today! Booked it before lbm, and worked sooo hard to pay it off so very much looking forward to it:T
Alton Towers is a birthday pressie from my sis, she's paying for me, we're both going halves on baby sis's ticket. Dh found £16 entry vouchers!! So going to use those, so £8 for me for half of baby sis ticket, and then whatever we eat - so v v v cheap for Alton Towers:D :j I am really looking forward to it, haven't been in ages:)Personal challenge: Do without as much as possible to pay off £12k by 07/2009!!!:T

ohh what part of Egypt are you going to?
I'm going to Sharm with my sister for a week then meeting dad and his work people in Cairo for a couple of days.
Checked the weather today and its a wonderful 30 deg :T :j :j :j:heart2: Its 12 o'clock and I need your attention :heart2:Debt at Aug 2008 : Bank of Scotland CC : £1605 :mad:Overdraft : GONE!:j:staradmin Debt free aim: Sometime in 2009:staradmin0 -
We're doing a cruise up the nile for the first week, and then Cairo for 2 nights and then a hotel in Luxor for 5 nights, 2 weeks intotal. Cruise is all inclusive, Cairo b&b and Luxor half board.
I dont talk about it much because I feel like people will judge me for spending the money; when in reality we had a really big discussion about whether or not to cancel the booking and lose the £300 deposit; or carry on paying it. I know we could have paid off more debt by now if we hadn't gone; but I am so glad we are going!Personal challenge: Do without as much as possible to pay off £12k by 07/2009!!!:T

Bargainfinder wrote: »Ok, I'm phsyching myself up to walk the dog as soon as I get home; as my sis's are coming round later and we're eating pancakes and junk food:o - I'll try and not eat as much as I normally would!!
However, I know what will happen; I'll get on the bus home and be all dozy and warm and sleepy, and when I get home I'll be so shattered I wont want to walk the dog:o
Any ideas for keeping awake on the bus???????? Awake enough to want to walk a dog when you get back home???!!!
Get some lemon essential oil and dab a bit on a tissue, sniff it every now & then and it will keep you awake. Peppermint essential oil will also do the same job.
I use it when I'm travelling a long way.
Also think of your dog & how happy s/he will be to have a nice walk!! Dogs really need both the exercise & stimulation of a nice walk.
Good luck,

Have a great time in Egypt both of you!! :j
I've been to Sharm 4 times and I love it!!!
Holidays are a great boost plus it is so cheap to eat out in Egypt!!
I'm on a really tight budget, but I sav my Tesco points towards a holiday once a year as a treat.
