I'm about 4 stone overweight, and feel it most days. We are going on holiday on 26 August, so I am hoping to knuckle down and lose at least 1/2 stone by then?
Previously when on diets I used to go out and buy myself a book or some trousers or get my hair or nails done to take my mind off food - now I have given all that up; the only thing left is biting my nails... do nails have calories in them....???
Take care guys! xx
Hiya fab to have you on board with us. They are a great set of girls on here, very supportive.
I too have 4 stone to lose. I love your Sig "do without as much as possible" I am going to and that one to mine. Make do and mend, I am a terrible waster although i have cut back on a lot. i know there is more I can do. I think it was in one of you posts ? that you say. What is there left if we have cut right back on spending and we are now cutting back on eating. It make you wonder at times, what is there left. But I got myself into this mess  , so i will get myself out of it :j .
Look forward to reading your posts and chatting with you

HI All
Not doing too bad, not been to the sandwich van yet this week - but think thats cause im poorly sick at the moment (and feeling very sorry for myself in case you didnt notice lol)
Got to fast tonight for a blood test in the morning so even the dr doesnt want me to eat lmao - its only til just after 9 thou so dont think ill starve to death (but i might come close)
Apart from that nothing exciting going on - according to my scales 1 of the lbs that i lost has found me again - really annoying how they do that.
Well done on the loss everyone!!
And when we went to a BBQ i let myself have one burger and then filled up on salad - meant that i got a bit tiddly with the vodka but i didnt stuff my face so its all good
Trying to think of new fruit that will last me a week but having real problems, its not very DFW but we have a friut and veg shop i pass on the way to work, when pay day comes i might start buying my fruit daily and see if i get more variety.
ooooo and my top tip for anyone who suffers from impulse buys of junk is ......... take your OH shopping - mine wanted to get some cans so we ended up in the co-op - needing scones (yes i needed them lol) i also picked up a bag of crisps - at which point he turned around and said "do you need both of those, its only 4 hours til bed time, will you really eat all that tonight?" harsh as it sounds he was right, infact i still havent eaten the scones (but thats going to change in about 5 mins, i am ill after all)

soooooo glad you back on board missed your quick wit and humor. Well done on the VAN not super but super dooper. Treat yr-self to a van stop at least once this week. I know that may seem quite odd thing to say, as you are trying to avoid it. but I soooooo don't want you to cave and give up altogether. So plan a van day and then you can eat and enjoy it knowing that , YOU DID NOT CAVE IN, you planned it and waited for it. does that make sense to anyone ?
Just after 9, where are you bubbles ?
I wouldn't worry about spending money in a fruit and veg shop, very healthy and good for the body. Well done on the barbie, nothing really wrong with the burger, it will have been grilled so most of fat dripped out, so thats OK. I find at barbies, its the nibbles that are worse.
OH no good to shop with, he puts in lots of "little extras" no help to waist or purse"
