I am in a w/chair (back injury) but have found that I can keep my back straight and use an exercise pedal machine with my feet and if oh puts it on the table I can do it with my hands too. It also shows how many cals you are burning so I aim to use that 3 times a week.

For roast dinner today I put the potatoes in the microwave for 8 mins with a bit of water then sprayed Fry light 1 cal on each pot and roasted them in the oven - they were gorgeus too.[/quote]

Almar you put me to shame  you doing more exercise that me. Way to go girl. And what a fab idea with the roasties, must give that a go.

  • CC - have u done Davina yet? Hows the pole lessons going? still enjoying them?

Almar - way to think positive coming up with ways that suit you to exercise, just keep it up :)

Jo - im only good at the walking as A OH doesnt always like having to run me places and moans and B its cheaper oh and C i think, well it takes me no longer than getting everyone ready and out to the car to get a lift where im going, than it does to just up and go AND i burn all those calories... which is no doubt the main reason i make myself walk LOL. Id love to do the 1st off by Christmas, but knowing me i tend to stay static at points and will depress myself, but yes im up for it Jo! I want to fit my old clothes by Christmas (its always been my goal then work on the excess weight i still want rid off) and just over a stone would have me there! Come on girlies we can do it!!!
  • Not opened the DVDs yet but I will set up my spare DVD player in my bedroom tonight, I'v decided that I'm going to try to do my dvds on Mon and Wed eves and Sat morning. I'v finished my course of Pole dancing lessons but have ordered my own pole so I can practise at home, annoyingly the order got messed up so I won't get it til November but really looking forward to it, it is such a good workout and lots of fun!

My work party is on the 18th Dec so I'm setting that as my target date, it's in 11 weeks, I'v changed my sig!

    We can do it girls!!!!!!

    Hi Girls,

I'll go for the pound a week until Christmas, went to weigh myself and need a new battery for my scales:mad:  .

will get one out of the shop tomorrow. Had quite a good day eatingwise and am off to bed shortly. Welcome to almar, will talk more tomorrow.

    Nite nite xx
  • almar thats me! I bake cakes and stuff in the evening! My tip is either A - go to bed early lol, or B go to aldi and buy their little individually wrapped dark chocolate bars - u get about 5 in a pack for 60p. Then promise yourself one in the evening if you have been good that day. I find it helps me stay good and yes im having a junk food every day, but if it keeps me on track, those extra 200 calories a day are worth it!
  • Day one went ok, only one choc hob nob and a handful of malteasers! that's a great day for me! Didn't get time to do my Davina DVD as my new bed arrived and I spent the whole evening building it and rearraging my room, I have far too much stuff! but my room looks really nice now and I wasn't just putting the dvd off so no need to tell me off! lol! I'm wierdly looking forward to doing it tomorrow!
I'm going for cocktails with my fella this evening but putting my foot down and not having take out!

I'm so pleased lots of you are joining me on my christmas challenge, gives me more determination not to let you down! Thank you!

Emmy, that's a good idea, I might try it too, boredom eating is also a problem for me, if it's quiet at work I always find myself attacking the chocolate cupboard!
    xx
