    Hi guys,

Sorry I haven't been on for a while but I'm still around. I just feel like I don't have any time to myself these days - due to doing the early morning cleaning job. My lunch times are over before I get a chance to join in with the conversation that I've missed and respond with a decent reply. I've been eating what I want so have been a bad girl - but I'm not beating myself up about it.

I'll try and catch up with yous tomorrow.

    Ciao

  • Morning ladies!

Everyone had a lovely night? Well done WTBS on the 4 mile walk, any tips on how to motiviate yourself since thats the problem I'm having?!!

    Right, moan time th_footstompingsmilie.gif

I was listening to my tv last night while trying to do vocal warm ups and cook dinner at the same time (as you do!) and I over heard the news reader talk about debt as if it was something everyone MUST have. They were talking about the average levels of debt in the UK and they found someone who was debt free and I swear the newsreader was talking to this person as if they were strange not having any debt... she even said something about children expecting to get into debt these days.

Surely these people should be more positive like Martin, and not making stupid statements like "How does it feel to be debt free, in the minority of people"!! She should be asking how they stay debt free and etc etc...

*phew* rant over.. although I just read that back and it maybe doesnt sound as bad as it was last night... it was all about her tone of voice that annoyed me..

Anyway! Off to get a free coffee from the freevent coffee machine :rotfl:
    :heart2: Its 12 o'clock and I need your attention :heart2:

  • Ok I need a good kicking, I ate so many biscuits yesterday! I really need someone here with a big stick to know the piccies out of my hand! I just can't say no!! So I'm taking EmmyLous ( i think) advice and upping my excersize instead, maybe if I have to work off the calories I'll be less likely to snack!
On the plus side I was able to give blood yesterday, last time my iron was too low so I couldn't but although they had to test me twice this time I was ok! yay!

Kmac, that is a great deal! well done!!
Lynne, we all have our fingers crossed! I'm sorry to hear about Poorly, that must be so stressful for your family.
Tess, it's just great to hear from you when we can, it's great that you are putting in so much effort to clear your debts but you must try to get some free time for yourself or you'll burn yourself out and get ill! even if it's just a couple of hours scheduled in for a bath and magazine once a week, somthing like that to look forward to might make a difference!
BF I'll email you about the book club but can I offer a few books and you tell me which you think is best to send on? I really don't have that many as I usually borrow them from the library.

Good luck for a healthy and happy day everyone! xx
  • Morning morning!!!

Crazy, no problem, just let me know what books you want to swap, and I'll organise it. I have been awful with eating biscuits as well - and I have decided to up my excercise lol. I'm going swimming tonight with my sister, and also have been taking the dog for 2 hour walks on Saturdays. I figure that's 3 hours more a week that I'm doing.
Also, I'm not using being bad in one area as an excuse to be bad in another - i.e although I've eaten loads of biscuits, I wont eat a huge portion of high fat dinner....

So yesterday, I had a glass of orange juice, loads of biscuits, a bread roll and then fish pie and chips (carbs I know, carbs!) for tea.. if I added up the calories then it probably wasn't actually that bad, but I felt like it was an awful day, and it's bad habits isn't it!

  • Morning,

Well, things came to a head last night because of the poorly situation. My young sister took a phonecall from one of my uncles and she told my mum he had called, well she really laid into her for telling my uncle whatever it was, I can't remember. So, I had an almighty barney with her for it, the poor wee thing ran upstairs sobbing, and I told her she can't take her frustrations out on everybody else, she told me to f*** off out her house.

I won't be going back until she apologises to my sister, and for that matter, me as well. I did lose it a bit, but she can't go around firing bullets at people who haven't done anything.

I've not fallen out with her for years, but I think it bought back to me how horrible she can be when she starts, so I wasn't standing for that, my wee sister is not into confrontation, I can stand up for myself a bit more than she can.

The downside is that I will need to make my own dinner for a few days:p

Hope I hear about the job today, I am just dying to know so that I can either get myself prepared or start hunting again.

    Speak later,

    SL x
  • Hi Lyn, sounds like a horrible situation, so I hope that you feel ok and can cope with it all:) sending hugs xx!!

I know the feeling about the job thing, it's the not knowing that is the hardest bit.

  • I didn't get it, after travelling all that distance:mad: Well, I'll just need to keep on going until I get something, I sent them an email asking for feedback, so hopefully, they will reply to that.

Onwards and upwards as they say,

    speak later,

  • Oh Lynn, I'm so sorry!!!! Grrrr, what a nightmare.
I've been applying for jobs, and am terrified of taking time off work (who dont know I want to leave!!) and then just being turned down...
Chin up, and carry on persevering.
Was this the job where you knew the boss? What happened to that? xx
