I've been applying for jobs, and am terrified of taking time off work (who dont know I want to leave!!) and then just being turned down...
Chin up, and carry on persevering.
Was this the job where you knew the boss? What happened to that? xx
BF,
That job was with my old boss, but it would have been around about 100 mile round trip everyday to get there, I could call him again, but I think I'm better off trying to get something home based or nearer home at least. It would mean going back into my old industry which I'm not that keen on doing to be honest. I will keep it on the back burner and see how things pan out.
Still no call from my mum, although everyone else has called today, she has sent a message that she won't say anything to me if I come back. My mum would never say a thing like that if I was in the wrong, that shows me that she is guilty of it. I won't be going back for a while, to let her see that she can't treat people that way, even if we are her children.
She can devote all her time to poorly, and see how she gets on without me to do the dirty work. My brother actually left last night, he brought the wee fella over and went away early as he does not want his child around that sort of stuff. Poorly is not doing any harm, but being drunk like that is not good for kids to see, even if they are only babies.
Rant over,:D

Lynn - Sorry to hear about the job, keep your head up and smile and you will find something soon. As for the home situation, my dad says things like that when he knows he is in the wrong and insted of just admitting it he keeps holding the thing against me or my sister until we just ignore him for a while and then he starts to see that he can't just talk to people that way. *HUGS*
I've been very bad today.. had malteasers AND a chewy bar AND Wotsits along with roasted vegetables and sweetcorn with melon ... what a day. Now my tummy hurts
Everyone fine? xx:heart2: Its 12 o'clock and I need your attention :heart2:Debt at Aug 2008 : Bank of Scotland CC : £1605 :mad:Overdraft : GONE!:j:staradmin Debt free aim: Sometime in 2009:staradmin0 -
Oh Lynne, I'm so sorry, you are having a rough time with it all! You seem to be keeping your head though so well done for coping with it all so sensibly and calmly! always come on here when you need to vent! We all are thinking of you and hoping things improve very soon!
One feast isn't too bad Emmylou! esp as you had to go get it, and well done for not getting anything else when you were there! I would have! I just ordered the Davina DVD boxset, they wanted £18 in WhSmith but I got it for £9 on ebay, can't wait!
BF, that's good, I do tend to give up when i slip up once, but I'm going to try not to in future!

The guy from the interview called me this afternoon as I sent an email looking for feedback this morning.
He said he felt terrible, but it was between me and another guy at the end. 4 people went down to Leeds, so 2 were left in the running. The guy got it because he has industry experience and they are hoping that he can bring a lot of customers across quickly. So, that was it, he said that they are considering splitting Scotland in 2, so if they do that, they will call me. That's really nice of them, but I'll need to set about looking for something now. At least the feedback was good, and I'll just need to continue until I get something.
The shop is so quiet today, I would have been as well staying in the house.
Speak soon,
Lynne x0 -
I should hope he felt terrible, when he had given you such a good inclination that you would get the job! It's all about perseverance I suppose.. we'll all keep our fingers crossed for you
