  • Good morning,

I'm just up as I had a late night, I'll be going for breakfast shortly. I went to see the american medium John Edward last night, he wasn't that good, my dad and aunt (who wanted to go) were disappointed. MY SIL didn't think he was up to much either. My aunt wasn't best pleased, she took her falsers out in protest on the way home:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: .

I think she has spoken too much and her gums were sore, it was a sight to behold anyway!!!

We were at a fish resturant for dinner beforehand that was brilliant, and I would go back. I have lost another 2 lbs, I am cutting out as much as I can between meals and just eating these. It seems to be working slowly, but working anyway.

I'm going to come back up and try and cut my grass, I haven't been able to because of all the rain, it has been dry for 2 days so I think I'll attempt it today.

    Speak later,

    SL x
  • Jo - get off the PC and enjoy the lovely sun out there! Think of the crap food as a good thing... means you will eat less of it hehe.

Lynne - he might be a bit of a fake in my eyes.... but he is rather yummy looking on tv lol.

Just been to the park with madam. Did a 1 mile walk around it... only managed to run about .3 of a mile today lol.... so err not got any better! Still not enjoying it! but i guess that little bit of running speeds up the exercise of the 1 mile route lol. Might do some Davina once madam has finished her lunch and gone to bed. Then tortillia wraps after for my lunch - yummy!

Yesterday I tried to put on my only pair of size 12 trousers i own lol. I can deffo get them up way more than I used to! But still cant get them past my !!!!! id like to be able to fit into them comfortably by the end of next month. Then back into 10s for Christmas! (have I said that before? I dunno if i just thought it or if i said it lol)
Its been very quiet in here of late... where are we all hiding!?
  • I've just cut my grass, it was so long that I'm knackered, but it is good exercise. I had to get out of my mum's anyway, my aunt has been on the phone all morning ranting about John Edward. She met someone this morning who was at him who thought he was rotten as well, so I think he should rethink his format if he is coming back to these parts. He spoke about himself most of the way through and only done a few readings. It was £60 a ticket:eek: , so I don't blame them for being angry. It was a funny sight when she took the falsers out though, that was worth the £60.:D

Poorly has been boozing again, he has been told if he doesn't think about what he is doing, he will need to find another place to stay, I can't believe he has done it again, but I suppose I don't understand what it is like to be addicted to booze.

Oh well, onwards and upwards, I might hear about the job tomorrow with any luck.

    Have a great afternoon everyone,

    SL x

  • Morning all, it is a bit quiet aye!
Kmac, have you made your decision yet? I would say save £400 so that you feel like you've worked for it, and then get it from somewhere where you can have interest free credit on it; i.e an Argos card or apply for an interest free credit card on purchases. This way you can carry on saving, the £400 is gaining interest, and by the time the interest free runs out, you will have the £700/£800 to pay it all off, but you have had the laptop for 6 months... does that make sense?!!!

Lynn, let us know when you hear about the job! I'll be busy today, but will hopefully log on to chat tomorrow. I've decided to go swimming every Tuesday with my sister, for an hour - I think that will help with the toning, which for me is as important as the weight loss!! I do need to give myself a kick up the backside though... here we go... ouch.. :D

    xx
Personal challenge: Do without as much as possible to pay off £12k by 07/2009!!!:T
Bluejeans Challenge: Spend less - Eat less! Need to lose [STRIKE]4 [/STRIKE] 2.5 stone () then maintain until my concert in Dec!!
Cady's jam jar challenge.. how much will be in the pot?!

Budget: a mathematical confirmation of your suspicions.
  • well done kmac! I only wish I was 10st lol id be happy with that lol.

BF - wayhey for the plans to go swimming! Im sure that will make a big difference to the weight loss challenge :) not to mention tone up your arms and legs!
  • BF you speak sense :rotfl: I should start looking around for an interest free deal somewhere and just pay it back in a lump sum when they start charging me interest... however something else popped up over the weekend.

Apple have an offer on that students get about 17% off any Apple computer, meaning the Macbook goes to £600 and then through Quidco I'd get 6% cashback, mean the laptop would technically cost me around £570. I have a friend who is a student who'd be willing to order me the laptop (on my credit card) meaning i get the 17% off..!!

10st is ok, but I'm quite short so I still look like a wee chubby kid :p my problem has always been my legs, I've huge thighs so what would be a size 12 in jeans is actually a size 14 or (more recently) a size 16 and then the waist band is gaping cause its too big on the waist..

    Any tips for trimming thighs?

    Kmac xx

  • Hi Kmac- If it makes you feel better, we just bought a chest freezer with my wages. We're paying for it outright - but at the same time we're not using the money to pay off debt, so that's not the best decision...! I would say that you have a realistic goal for paying off your debt, also you are not in as much as some - so as long as you have a plan... I would say though that this has taught me about planning in advance and not buying everything I want on credit, so I guess it's all about what habits you want to get into....! That doesnt help much does it lol

Hi Emmy, Annabelle is so cute!! And I agree, I would be happy if I was 10st lol, although 9.7 is my goal at the moment and that's another 2 stone away (groans) I've had a mint this morning to kick start my metabolism, and then I'll eat later at home.... I'm determined to weigh myself at the end of this week and be less than 11.7.

I walked the dog for 2 hours on Saturday, and now I ache... although didn't do any good, as I then make brownies and cookies and proceeded to eat them all.... hangs head in shame... what am I going to do with the ones I have left at home?!!!!

  • i wish i knew kmac! i have the same problem im only 5ft! Before I had DD i was 10st 7lbs and i was a size 10 in jeans etc... but skirts and tops i was an 8. Used to drive me nuts because its my thighs that keep me up a dress size!

kmac are you sure you really want a mac? You can get great laptops for £400 total! and much easier to use IMO lol

BF - lol i do the same thing with cakes and cookies and flapjacks! Im a wizz at making anything cakey or treat wise lol. Last night I had to fight with myself not to bake a cake!!!! Well done on the 2 hr walk! I quite enjoy walking i just wish i had more than annabelle to walk with lol. I needs a grown up! (LOL Annabelle has climbed up on the sofa beside me and is just looking at the screen open mouthed in disbelief... not sure why haha)
