  • kmac - my only plans for the weekend are to attempt running again to see if i can manage the same distance as last time or try to push myself a liiiiittle bit more lol. Other than that... sod all - perhaps catch up on a little work and that. Have a great party tonight!! and batch cooking for the freezer is an excellent idea!!!
  • well done Emmy, I am impressed with your resolve!! We've ordered a chest freezer today, so I can start doing batch cooking!! Also we've decided that we'll have fresh veg from the market everyday as we both work near one, so we can take it in turns to pick some up every few days... yay! x

  • Oooh Kmac, I noticed your sig says that your overdraft is gone - well done!! (am I weeks behind...?!) x

Yeah finally got it paid off... just the CC to go.

I've got a dilema which I think you ladies can help me with.

My PC at home is on its last legs and I really need to get a new one but I was thinking of investing in a Mac laptop because I have an ipod and its likely that I'm gonna get an iphone when my mobile contract is up...

    Should I

    A) WAIT
    b) get a laptop that does the job and hope that it works with my ipod (my PC doesnt)
    c) spend the money, get the mac and just save like mad after that...

    Answers on a postcard please

  • Thats still a loss though, think of it as being 1lb lighter than last week.. thats great!! I've still not weighed myself after my holiday, but my skirt feels a bit smaller so maybe I have lost.

I've looked at the prices of Apple macs... £700 nearly for a "normal" laptop. Might save half of the money before I buy one.. its alot of money for a laptop... Someone talk me out of it... xx

  • Kmac, my pc works with my ipod so any new pc should but Iknow what you mean about wanting a mac, they just look so much nicer! Think you have to seriously consider your budget then look around for the best deals, hotukdeals.co.uk is great for that kind of thing.

I just shared a twix with a friend, didn't put up any resistance! I am so weak!!

This weekend is going to be chores, chores and more chores! oh and a little pole dancing! lol! I only signed up to three lessons and sunday will be the third, don't think I'll go to any more for now, I'll just practise on my pole (which I should be getting in a couple of weeks) and get a dvd. Then when I'v perfected the beginner stuff i'll go to a few more lessons.

We're prob not staying at the travelodge now, my OH doesn't want to travel that far after the party so back to hunting for cheap B&Bs, grrrr!
  • kmac - just get a regular laptop, they will work just as well with ur ipod and iphone etc as a mac. Id never use a mac, they just have all i want and sometimes some documents rnt compatible for them. Macs r great for creatives who want to make music/do art and design... just think that laptops are better for us normal folk lol

CC how much r u paying for ur lessons? I found a place offering lessons in liverpool from november.. but it worked out at £23.33 a lesson as u had to book 6 at £140. Just seemed awful pricey imo, shame as i think by november id be happy to try it!

wtbas - well done on the 1lb off! id be happy with that right now as ive maintained for 4 sodding weeks!!! You never said what village u lived in yet either btw lol dont think i didnt notice!
  • Sorry emmylou i live in a weee village on the ards peninsula you come from n.ireland dont you? Was it you that was over a few weeks back?
