Awww, Kel, sorry to hear about your fight with OH, but don't feel like a failure - you were already making great steps towards the right direction, and Slimming World will still be there next week...;) Just think, it gives you another week to get that headstart you were talking about making before you weigh in!!
Don't be depressed - come and post on here with us and talk to people who know how you are feeling.

EmmyLou - I know what you mean...I'd like to drop down a dress size or 6 myself! I have a fabulous wardrobe in size 12, a pretty good selection of size 14s, some rather nice 16s, a few decent pieces in size 18, very little I like in a 20, and am currently recycling the same few manky size 22s day in day out - as I grew bigger, I completely lost interest in clothes...its no fun buying stuff just because it covers you, rather than actually liking it!
I guess Jo's posts rang a bell with me. I am the worst for setting myself a target and then not meeting it and feeling like a failure(cue the "why do I bother trying, I may as well go and order that huge takeout pizza with all the bad-for-me toppings!
). Then I suddenly realised
: just because I don't hit my target, doesn't make me a failure. I may not have lost 14lbs, but I have lost 9lbs, and that is still worth celebrating! :T :j :T
So, from now on, I am going to stop trying to put dates and targets together (it will be hard because I am pre-conditioned to see the year in terms of "x weeks until Christmas/birthday/anniversary/holiday) and just try and concentrate on moving slowly downwards. I know I'll get there in the end - and I'm not going to keep feeling like a failure on the way!

Hi Girls,
Just a quick post, I'm just in!!! I went for the interview today, I know I made some mistakes, I'll just need to sit it out and wait for the result. I should know on Tuesday.
My brother got taken into hospital today, and poorly got out. What are my family like with hospitals, I am sick of the sight of them:eek:. They think he has appendicitis, (i don't think I've spelt that properly).
My mum thinks that poorly has been drinking today, if he has, I am washing my hands of him, no more running to hospitals if that is the case. She asked him and he said, no way, I'm finished with it, but if he has been boozing, the truth will out!!!
I'll catch up with you all tomorrow, the peg leg is sore, so I am going to bed.

- well done, you!! Fantastic result!!!!!!! :T
FreeMe -on the baby steps...keep going - you will get there.
Lynne - sorry to hear about your brother and Poorly. Hope your brother is feeling better soon, and that Poorly is being truthful about the situation...
Will keep fingers crossedfor your interview results - don't worry about the mistakes...in the past, I have got jobs from interviews where I thought I really messed up, and not got jobs from interviews where I thought things went really well (
?!). I think sometimes interviewers like to see the fact that you are human and can make mistakes, but they are able to assess the bigger picture and understand that nobody is perfect 100% of the time. Anyway, like I say, I'm sending positive vibes, so let us know as soon as you hear.
