    Hi FM,

I would just try my best re: the weight thing. As long as you are eating healthily and cutting down portions sizes, you are half way there. Re: exercise, you could try and involve your wee one in this, going for a walk to feed ducks, swimming or even dancing in front of a DVD in the living room, then you are killing two birds with one stone, ie the exercise and having a good time with the wee one, just a suggestion, I hope it helps.

It is hard trying to cram all the things you need to do into a short space of time, I'm always running out of it myself!!

Nice to have you on with us,

    speak soon,

  • Thanks SL... its great to hear some kind words! You're right, I should involve my four year old in my exercise plans... I'm desperately trying to get back some family time as we always seem to be busy doing other things like visiting other people, birthday parties etc. I thought not having much money to spend would mean I'd have loads of spare time but as the OH has free petrol, visiting everyone is still very much part of the diary!! Must learn to say NO!!

Thanks for the advice.. I'll make an extra effort!

I'm full of good advice, I need to heed some of it myself:rotfl:

I had a good breakfast today, and then it went downhill. Chinese for lunch and then a sandwich and apple crumble with cream and custard for dinner.

I will need to come and dance with you and the wee one!!

  • Free me - also you can use housework as exercise too :) hoover really vigorously, same with brushing. Put music on while doing dishes and dusting and dance a lot lol. Oh and when you visit your friends, suggest to them them you are bringing an exercise DVD with you and you can do it together, its always more fun to exercise with others :)

WTBAS - lol i know what you mean about the rain, its just not nice to walk in unless your covered in waterproofs.
  • Thanks LilMiss - I'm definitely using the housework as an excuse to exercise but I obviously dont do it vigourously enough as I dont feel any difference! The house is the tidiest its ever been though!
I'm just picturing my friends faces as I turn up and pop on my tae bo DVD!!! What a fab idea! Thanks!

  • Hello all!

I am going to my first slimming world class tonight, bit nervous so wish me luck, I always seem to weigh more then I think I'm going to haha! I am actually quite excited as I this is my first step towards being slim yay!! I have taken this 'first step' many times lol :rolleyes2 (weight watchers, atkins, slim fast etc etc) but I am REALLY hoping this is the last time.

I am aiming for about a 30lb loss by the new year, I reckon I can do it!

    Kel :D

  • MMM some us feeling quite sorry for ourselves arnt we, that includes me. Well lets get this show back on the road.:j :j :j

So lots of positive thoughts and actions needed. I am going on holiday on the 14th of this month and still hoping to lose a stone :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: How disproportionate is that !!!!!. Honestly my expectations are always way to high and of course i cant reach them and come down with a crash. Munchkin and Floozie you have both stopped and realized you have moved up a dress size and doing something about it fab :T . I have moved from a 18 to a 20  and thats not going to improve before my hols, is it ?

Emmylou thanks for the info, I am def going for reusable. And well done on the size drop :T :T :T you well motivated go girl go.

Lynne how your rash and leg doing, hope it improving.

I really must get some exercise done. All you regulars are probably thinking, OMG Jo just do it, instead of just saying you are. Well i hate exercise and i need you all to tell me to do and make me report on it, daily.
