Think Lynns advice is good Jo, to concentrate on the here and now, and if an issue comes up, just be confident enough to talk about it:D

Bargainfinder wrote: »Well done Jo, woohoo!! I'm sure you'll enjoy it!! Could you set up a little 'business' offering alterations?? when I got married, the shop wanted to charge me £40 for the hem of my wedding dress, I'm sure if you found a market you would make quite a bit? Even try advertising on the supermarkets board or something?
I do, do "free" alterations for friends and family, but it inevitably moves on to there friends too and I feel a load, asking for money.

When you say body brush, do you need an actual brush, or will hands do?
You could take a rough face cloth (you know how they feel when they are just newly washed and dried without conditioner) and rub in upward circular motions. Even making a simple salt scrub from sea salt, lemon juice and just rub it on with your hands should work xx:heart2: Its 12 o'clock and I need your attention :heart2:Debt at Aug 2008 : Bank of Scotland CC : £1605 :mad:Overdraft : GONE!:j:staradmin Debt free aim: Sometime in 2009:staradmin0 -

I know what you mean, but perhaps you could do this, when a friend says "Can you do this for me" say "yes of course, I wont ask for any payment, but as a favour, could you spread this round your friends" and give them a little print out with your prices on. They will feel like they are getting more of a bargain, and will probably be happy to help. If your prices are reasonable, I'm sure your business would grow - don't let people take advantage of you too much.
It annoys me when people do that "Oh yeah, I know someone who will do it for free" - just because I do it for you for free, doesnt mean I want to do it for every tom !!!!!! and harry!!
Sorry, rant over lol!Personal challenge: Do without as much as possible to pay off £12k by 07/2009!!!:T

Okay, my DH is going to crack up at me tonight, but I will get a rough face cloth and make up lemon juice and sea salt and rub it on my legs upwards in circular motions... then shower it off... I cant wait!:rotfl:
Thanks Kmac! I knew you guys would be able to suggest something free... I was so tempted to go and buy another lotion from Boots, but I wont Jo, I'm with you on the challenge..! In fact, in sorting the potions out yesterday, I found a £13 potion I bought last year and have hardly used:eek: and a £27 yve st lauren exfoliator:eek: I will use the whole box before buying another single one:TPersonal challenge: Do without as much as possible to pay off £12k by 07/2009!!!:T
