    Hi Jo,

There's lots of things I could do for £50 an hour, but thy might not be legal.......... oh, I've just had a flash in my mind of a bunch of old raincoats, maybe I'll just stay skint:rotfl: :rotfl:

I've just phoned that agency for the job I fancied, so I've to see them at 3pm tomorrow. It's for a welfare officer, helping people back into work, the money is good and i think it would be really interesting. They give you training as well, so it could lead to much better things. Wish me luck.

Hiya Lynn, I think you would be an asset to anyone realy. Cos you sooooo think outside of the box. Fingers crossed for you, and wish you tuns n tuns a luck

  • Oh Jo, I think you are extremely brave in sharing that! I feel honoured that you trust us that much! I do think it would help to discuss it with a trained counsellor but I have heard some issues with psychoanalysis that you can create false memories that disturb you even more.. its a difficult situation. I do hope that things are looking up for you now?

The theatre group sounds great, I wish I had something like that near me! I used to love drama and I absolutely love making decorations and costumes, if television hadn't have called louder I would have gone into party organising. Any opportunity to make new friends and fill spare time is great!

BF, I hope they were happy tears? I do believe it's true!

Ok I feel I have to own up to some naughty behaviour, I went shopping for tent pegs last night and came back with £85 of stuff and then spent £30 online this morning! I did get great bargains but not everything was essential, I just can't pass a sale! But on a good note I realised that I haven't used the lift once at work since I came on this thread! tiny tiny acheivement I know but I'm proud of myself!
  • Good luck Lynne! you are being so proactive, it's great!!

good for you, I think you would be fantastic at that sort of thing. You'll be on X Factor next year at this rate!!! Listen, about your earlier post, I think that a lot of people have issues that they push to the back of their mind and would rather forget about them. You have lived through some rough times, your ex sounds like a horrible person. I'm glad you got rid of him. I would try and focus on now. It sounds as if your DH is a great guy and the main issue just now is money (like Mine). You can work through it as you are a really caring person, so make sure you care for yourself as well.

I hate the person that lack of cash has made me, but I'm trying to claw myself out of the deep hole I am in. I believe it can be done, so I'll just keep going too, nothing else for it.

  • Well done Jo, woohoo!! I'm sure you'll enjoy it!! Could you set up a little 'business' offering alterations?? when I got married, the shop wanted to charge me £40 for the hem of my wedding dress, I'm sure if you found a market you would make quite a bit? Even try advertising on the supermarkets board or something?
