I think a compromise BF, maybe buy a ham salad sandwich, not as bad as the others but more filling than just a pancake, maybe?

Umm, Jo, to be honest I'm not sure, I'll update my budget spreadsheet and see. As you've kicked some reality back into me I'm going to take back a duvet set I brought last week as I got a nicer one last night, and as the online shopping was from M&S you can return ordered things instore so I've now decided to try everything on but only keep half of what I ordered. Thank you!!!

Your Welcome, Sometimes we need reminding and a shove in the right direction. Its all well and good being supportive but we all here for the same reason. I hope you would point out, a "maybe" not so good move to me.

I never consciously dwell on it, I just wonder if it the root of my issues. You are right though "money and debt" is my main issue at the moment and DH is my knight in shining amour, he came and saved me. I cant even bring myself to put any of my debts in my Sig, T am soooooo embarrassed about them. They are in total £8000 PHEW " I AM ON A ROLL" THIS MORNING WITH THE SPILLING IT ALL. I think the fact that he saved me and took a beating for me, is the reason I never told him about the debt. I thought he doesn't deserve it, he took and gave so much for me and this what I give him back.

I'm glad you don't dwell on it, and to be honest, you don't seem like the type of person that would. Now, everyone has different levels of debt and your amount will be high to you personally. My debt is much much more than that, in fact, I'm not exactly sure how much it is. It is mostly business debt and should be cleared once I get myself a job and set about selling this place. I think I would:eek: if I really sat down and worked it out. I've had my lightbulb moment but will work out exact figures when I am a bit more sorted.

  • Well done BF!! that's great resisting temptation, but maybe you should rethink not eating a proper lunch? a good sandwich and yoghurt at lunch helps keep away the muichies mid afternoon.

Jo, I can understand you wanting to hide these worries from your man but I think he probably would have wanted to know, you might have been acting a bit stressed and he would not have understood why and thought you were just being off with him? difficult though I know!

That would be nice Jo, we would need to make sure we had out own toilets though:rotfl: :rotfl:
  • Okay.... I bit into the pancake and it was GROSS I mean really GROSS, so I am afraid I binned it... then my mum rang and said she wanted to meet me in my lunch break with my sis, so I went with them to Wetherspoons and Mum paid, so 0 spend for me; and also I went halves with her on a panini, so didn't eat a whole one but satisfied my cravings!!!

Jo well done for sharing your debt, as Lynn said, each of our debt seems insurmountable to us all; Mine and DH when we had our LBM was about £20k. Now about £18; 7.5 of that in a loan we cant pay back early without a charge; the rest on credit cards. Got £4100 on a HSBC card, £3000 on a Natwest Card and £2000 on a Virgin card and £1500 OD (very rough figures) since May this year, we have paid off £380 on Argos card, £300 on Lloyds cc and a £1500 holiday, so we are well on our way!

    You will get there!!

Did Tara enjoy her walk? :D

    Hello again,

This is another quickie post - cos my lunch break is already over. Blue - I'm happy that you shared your story with us, we all have a past and cope with things in different ways - obviously all of us on here are quite similar in how we deal with stuff!! It's great to hear that you're pushing yourself forward and look forward to hearing some more updates from you.

I've just eaten lunch and had spag bol and have a fruit corner sitting next to me on my desk - but I soooooo wanted to buy a chocolate but I'm resisting cos I had some last night and could easily get through 2 bars a day at the moment. I'm on facebook and have added BF if anyone else is interested just PM me your details or vice versa.

Hopefully I'll log on a bit later - if I'm not too tired after work.

    Tess

    BF,

What made you get involved with the church? I've read your posts on here and had a look at your own thread today. I'm not religious but it is refreshing to see someone who would give up their own free time to help other people. My mum is involved with a credit union, she loves it and does it for free. She says she gets satisfaction from doing that.

One of the jobs I'm going for is a welfare officer, trying to help people get back into work that have been out of things for a long time. I think it might be people who have been ill or lone parents who haven't been able to work cause the wee ones are not at school yet. I am going for this one big time, because this sounds so rewarding. Although the salary is good and I am motivated by money, it would be great to do something worthwhile, (hope I am technical enough for it:p ) that's going to be my boring joke from now on!!
