  • Yeah stores have been told to manualy update the prices on their systems but duing tonights maintainence I have a feeling the pricing error will be amended. Fingers crossed it will last for at least one more day at some stores.
  • I bought one of these at the Caerphilly store earler today. Absolutely no problem at all. Infact, the lady serving me said there must be something wrong as she has never sold more than one in a day, by 14:00 she had sold six of them.

Thanks very much for alerting me to this one,

    Cheers

Bladesharp as you work for them could you tell me what's the chance of me,when i call Head office in the morning, that they will let me go to my local store that wouldn't let me have it and have it for the £320 price?

    Thanks
    Darren
  • Think they would tell you to **** off lol. I think you will find that they are pretty annoyed about it because obviously they have lost alot of money.

This may be common sense to most people but...

If you buy one of these PLEASE don't leave it in your car overnight! These are getting more popular than car stereos. Also if you buy a cradle don't stick that right in the windscreen and leave it there as it is a telltale sign you have one! :D

You would be surprised about how many people forget about simple safety measures and end up with a £500 (Much less here but still ;)) loss and a smashed window..

The post of the month is not decided by the number of nominations and is not 'voted' for by the MSE users. Posts/posters are suggested for this then Martin alone decides on the winner.

and as MSE Andrea says "please do not lobby to win the prize - it's not cricket!"

I second that, i had a PDA satnav and 3 days before xmas they broke into the car, im sure it was the cradle that didnt help.

Incidentally i have turned on my tomtom 500 and it cannot get a fix on one satellite, flamin useless if i cant get a fix.
  • Sometimes with the tomtoms it takes a little while the first time you use it to get a fix on a satalite. This is because it basicly doesn't have a clue what so ever on eneven rough locations of the satilites so it has to search. If the problem stays it could be because you have a UV coated Screen or somthing similar which is stoping the signal. In this cause you would need to buy a externak antenna for a mearly few £'s

i stood outside for more than 5 mins, ill see how it goes tomorrow.

I used to use tomtom 2 on my pda and that worked fine, in a clio incidentally for the person who asked, and then the gps receiver packed up after 9 months.
