I said to the guy in Currys that I would go and check the price in Comet and he said don't bother if you find it cheaper we'll give you the difference plus 10% of the difference (ie £449 - £319 = £130 + 10% = £143).

I then purchased the Tom Tom from Currys and went into Argos and checked the price. Walked back into Currys and told them, they checked the internet price (£439) and I then walked through to Argos with them to confirm the price on the Quick Pay machine.

By this time in Argos it was showing £319.99 and stock by Wednesday but the Currys manager only wanted to be sure that I could actually buy it at that price. He then refunded the difference onto my card.

I reserved two items (1 from Manchester Arndale and the other one from Manchester Ancoats for my friends but they changed their mind). Post the reserve codes here just in case anyone needs them. I check on R&S and the price is £319.99 and this is excluded from 16 days money back.

Still don't get that Curry's will price match plus give you 10%.So you would need to go and buy it from Argos first and then show them that you got it for £319.99 but then i'm not sure Argos would take it back would they even if it was 5mins after you bought it as it isn't covered by the 16 day money back?
