The new pop up is saying no protection from July 25th for AVG 7.5, is AVG8 now OK to download and if so does 7.5 need uninstalling first?

I don't think you will lose the protection you currently have but you won't receive any further updates to 7.50

Actually the deadline before they stop updates for AVG free is 31st August 2008, so ignore what the date in that pop up says."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Point is there are that many dates being bandied about, one if I remember correctly is 31st December, surely you can believe the ones from the actual source as in this latest pop up?Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

No, because the source I gave is the people at AVG themselves which is not only more accurate but more up to date, the latest info only published last week. 31st December is for the paid version. Although originally they'd had that date for the free version they've since revised it to August."She is quite the oddball. have been using AVG8 for a month or so and it works well, no need to uninstall 7.5living on the "edge"0

I've had version 8 running on 3 computers from day 1 no problems whatsoever.Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .0

May have posted this before but AVG 8 free is very fussy and the installation will fail if you have ever had Ewido Antispyware on your PC.That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Thanks SS, was beginning to panic as I thought I only had 4 days left! Now I can watch this board for another month to copy observe what others are doing as I haven't yet figured what to do next.:D

AVG8 messed up vista when I tried the update so I moved to Antivir. I heard it could a security update from M$ conflict but couldn't be bothered to troubleshoot Antivir's just as good.0

I'm using AVG8 with Vista and I've had no problems at all with it.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.
