  • im tempted to use millies bridal as most seems positive on here, but other forums there are bad reviews - I dont know what to do!!!!!
  • I ordered my dress 6th July which was a 'homage' to Ian Stuart's 'Seville'. The dress was made out of silk & cost £400 which was a bit nicer than the £2,025 of the original. I paid extra for 200 swarovski crystals & also for the rush order service.

I received an email the dress had been shipped last Wednesday & DHL had attempted to deliver it on the Friday! I have to say I'm gobsmacked at how beautiful the dress is. The detailing is perfect and it is very very well made. The sizing is fab too but I'm gonna have to get it tweaked by a seamstress because I ordered everything an inch bigger (better to be safe than sorry, hey?)

I know reviews of Milly Bridal have been very up and down but I thought they deserved a write-up based on my experience. I was really worried when I ordered my dress because I then started seeing all the bad reviews which gave me serious doubts whether I've done the right thing. I persevered & was willing to buy the original on a credit card if this gamble didn't pay off.

I have saved £1,600, have a really really beautiful dress that no one else has (my dress has some bits of lace on it which the original didn't) & I really really couldn't be happier. Got enough money to order my Kurt Geiger shoes now!

Words of advice for people considering ordering from Milly Bridal -
    * give yourself plenty of time & order well in advance (maybe around a year or so if you have it)
    * maybe order an inch too big on all measurements- dresses can always be taken in but it's much more tricky
    to let them out
    * if you're going for a copy of a designer dress, find as many pics as you can & give very clear instructions
    about what you want
    * be patient & friendly with them!

Hope this helps someone a bit

Which website did you go to for the ian stuart seville dress? I have tried looking on millybridal.com and my weddingdressforless.co.uk but can not find it. I love the dress but, like you, do not want to pay the £2025 price tag!
    Thanks
  • Hi!

Does anyone who has used Milly know what happens at each of the production stages??

I ordered a dress last Saturday and it already says it is on Production Stage 5.

    Anyone know what this means?

    Thanks

  • Dear all, I have recently ordered my wedding dress from China. I researched and looked at forums and (mostly) everyone seemed to agree that "Millys" were excellent. I found the website (with the butterfly in the logo as a friend described) found a picture of a dress I love and ordered it. Then I found out that there are TWO very similar named sites.... Milly Bridal and Milly Bridals.
Can anybody help me with some information about this. I have ordered from MillyBridals.com - so far they have been friendly, answered all my queries promptly and say they are working on my dress . Has anybody else used this company? I'd love to know what you think of them (good or bad) Or is MillyBridal.com the recommended company and have I made a massive mistake? I was so excited and now I'm just worried!
    Any feedback gratefully recieved. Thanks
  • I've seen good and bad things about Milly. Good is the quality. Bad is how long their ship dates have stretched out to. RIght now it's actually running in the six month mark!
If you don't want to wait six months for Milly, or that board scares you off, I had a dress made by PerfectWeddingForever.com that looked very nice and was half the price of Milly. Came in very quickly, too.
  • Does anyone have any feedback on Millybridal ? There are two websites, millybridal.com and millybridals.com
I wondered if they were one and the same and also if they are reliable.
Need a wedding dress before september and don't want to order if they are dodgy or too slow.
    Thanks.
