  • Hi, I'm new to the site but just wanted to add something..

myweddingdressforless uses Milly Bride to make their dresses,

I'm emailing a lovely lady called Neta at the moment from that website and I am going to get measured and order my dress from them next week, I cant wait.. Neta always emails me back within 24 hours (except weekends), i have sent many emails asking LOADS of question and Neta answers them in detail, I love 2 dresses from their website .. Dion & Michelle, i still cant make up my mind but I will need to soon as I get measured on tuesday!!!

Has anyone received their dress from there?
    Thanks Sarah xx

HI, im a newbie too :D

I have also been looking at my weddingdressforless myself and have already received an email back from Neta.
myweddingdressforless are based in Canada but they get their dresses from Milly Bridal who are based in China.
They have simular prices when you consider postage etc but im now more inclined to sway towards Milly Bridal!!
Milly have WAY more dresses to choose from and seem to be more flexible with the end design.

I have been really excited about Milly for the last couple of days and up untill this eve i havent read any negative reviews. However, the last 2 pages of this thread are troubling me. I emailed Milly this morning - no reply yet but i guess its been less then 12 houra :rotfl:

Can anyone of you fine ladies advice if you have now received some feedback from the half a dozen email contacts for Milly.

PLEASE someone put my mind at rest, i love Milly's range...

    right, update..

I have ordered a dress from millys. took about a month from payment to finalising details. I have paid for rush order and expect to have the dress for august.

I will keep people updated if you so wish but on YAYW, there are loads of happier brides2b who have received their dresses or are at least waiting for their dhl package that is due any day... :)

I know a few brides that used dhgate and also dressilyme and all are happy with their items. i still think milly tops it for me and yes they will get stuff wrong but while i am trying to save money, i DO have contingencies if anything were to go wrong. I would always advise this. Anything you want to know, please ask.

I ordered from LITB and didn't have a single problem if i am honest. i ordered in CNY and expected delays biut both times i ordered, it took 28 days from order to arrival.

jessica at millys is lovely and i am putting my faith in her

doesn't mean i haven't followed up regularly.. probably about once a wek but i am always really polite and they are too. :)

I ordered a custom made dress from millys a month ago, and I have been so impressed with their communication, I'd recommend them to everyone! I first considered Landy, but was glad I paid a bit more and dealt with milly. They've made my dress in less than a month, and it should arrive this morning, can't wait!

They've sent me pictures of the dress during development and kept me up to date with it's progress. I doubt I could have had a better experience if I'd bought the dress from a bridal shop. If anyone is having doubts, don't! I couldn't be happier with their work.

millybridal . com is the correct one. the .co.uk is a fake site from what i have read on other forums. the uk site is myweddingdressfor less. co.uk

I have just had my test dress pics for my bm dress and so chuffed. gonna have a proper gander in a min and make sure its all good but i think it looks fine at first glance. its due to be with my around 2nd aug but i don't mind if its a little bit later.. as ong as it is here before my wedding. lol.

  • I ordered my dress 6th July which was a 'homage' to Ian Stuart's 'Seville'. The dress was made out of silk & cost £400 which was a bit nicer than the £2,025 of the original. I paid extra for 200 swarovski crystals & also for the rush order service.

I received an email the dress had been shipped last Wednesday & DHL had attempted to deliver it on the Friday! I have to say I'm gobsmacked at how beautiful the dress is. The detailing is perfect and it is very very well made. The sizing is fab too but I'm gonna have to get it tweaked by a seamstress because I ordered everything an inch bigger (better to be safe than sorry, hey?)

I know reviews of Milly Bridal have been very up and down but I thought they deserved a write-up based on my experience. I was really worried when I ordered my dress because I then started seeing all the bad reviews which gave me serious doubts whether I've done the right thing. I persevered & was willing to buy the original on a credit card if this gamble didn't pay off.

I have saved £1,600, have a really really beautiful dress that no one else has (my dress has some bits of lace on it which the original didn't) & I really really couldn't be happier. Got enough money to order my Kurt Geiger shoes now!

Words of advice for people considering ordering from Milly Bridal -
    * give yourself plenty of time & order well in advance (maybe around a year or so if you have it)
    * maybe order an inch too big on all measurements- dresses can always be taken in but it's much more tricky
    to let them out
    * if you're going for a copy of a designer dress, find as many pics as you can & give very clear instructions
    about what you want
    * be patient & friendly with them!

Hope this helps someone a bit
