Apple have an education store which offers 10% off i think, on laptops and apple powermacs (not ipods tho
!!! ) Click the education store link on their online shop.
In fact, it is up to 14% off. This is in all official Mac stores & online upon presentation of an NUS card OR proof that you are in uni (even upon presentation of his UCAS confirmation). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Natwest student account gives a free student railcard for 5 years [check the site for details for Mature Students] You also get a free webcam and it counts for the offers on http://www.studentdiscounts.co.uk. Anyone else has to pay an extra £5 for a discount card from them. [lilacgold]
If you use london transport, don't forget to load your railcard onto your oyster card.
prepay now has 1/3 discount on offpeak daily capping! see this forum post: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=6606270 -

If you have a 16-25 railcard and live up north, you can get extra off tickets booked on Transpennine express services by going into the booking system via this page: http://tpexpress.co.uk/tickets/students/default.asp
I recently used it and got some £3.30 fares reduced to £2.25, so if you have a railcard anyway it's a great saving. When you book the tickets highlighted in green are the ones discounted, but only TPE specific tickets are discounted for students unfortuately0 -
If you register (free) with Student Beans (http://www.studentbeans.com) you'll find a whole range of deals/discounts for students. Some of my favourites have to be the Odeon and Cineworld ones - 2 for 1 student tickets Mon-Thurs.
On a separate note, The English National Opera has unbelievable discounts for students and under 30s when you sign up (free) for their Access All Arias membership (http://www.eno.org/accessallarias/main.html) stalls for £30, dress circle £20 and upper circle £10. You can get two tickets per performance and your guest doesn't have to be a student/under 30.0 -
Just to clarify an NUS card will NOT get you any discount at Poundland!! Trust me-they don't give anything away-not even to poor overworked, undervalued staff!! (Guess where I work!! LOL!)0

Phew! *wipes sweat off brow* Sounded a bit odd to me as they've just put UP signs that your 10% discount is good all year round...during sales even! I LOVE DP!!! *inhales deeply* "Ahhhhh! I love the smell of a good deal in the morning! (or just about any time, really...)" :dance:0 -
Does anyone know if you can still get a 10% discount online when buying an Arriva student bus pass? Last year, Liverpool was £208 (without the 10% discount), now it seems to be £246 for the North West with no sign of a discount.0

Loads of online places will give you student discount - condomtom.co.uk (who are ridiculously cheap anyway), joebrowns.com, saysomething.co.uk, cdwow.com... the lst goes on and on. Unfortunately, you can only get these discounts by entering codes that you get from the nusextra.com website, and the only way to get these codes is to own an NUS extra card - the free one will not let you have access. I'm not going to post the codes here because I don't know if I'm allowed and want to avoid any breaches of forum rules until at least my second post, but I would say that if you do have an NUS extra card and haven't checked out the online discounts, do so - they will surprise you with what is available.0
