Ebay items looking good.....I get so excited watching them end:rotfl:
Had a lovely £50 Tesco voucher in the post today - got it for having car insurance with them....they were cheapest anyway, but the voucher was an added bonus:j
Not much esle to report. I nipped to college after work and collected my last NVQ unit - all signed off now:beer: Then I rushed to Tesco, grabbed a few bits...£30 though:eek: But I did get huge Tresemme shampoo and conditioer, 2 for £6, as it's my favourite...they will last forever;):D Huge bottles. And got petrol, all full up now. So double points on petrol, and it's the cheapest petrol around here.
Dinner is chicken chow mein, meat from freezer, rest of stuff in cupboards. Early night as well I think, I'm sooo tired!
House is lovely and clean and tidy as the letting agency came to do a periodic check today. It's fab to go into the weekend with no cleaning needing doing:p
Think I'll go bring in the washing and sit down for a while.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
All sounding good Milly!!
Well done with the ebay stuff, I love that buzz at the end of an auction too, havent sold anything for ages though!! Did the car boot instead!0 -
Well, lovely that it's the weekend, but not so lovely that my darn pain came back last night:mad: SO we haven't gone to my sister's, jsut stayed at home and I slept all afternoon:o I don't know why it's come back, I'm still taking the steroids, maybe it's a bit of a bug too - there's afew around at school and as I take medication to lower my immune system, I often pick things up:rolleyes: I've probably just overdone it this week - I have kept very busy and my poor bod probably telling me to stop:D
So, a quiet day - not quite an NSD as we nipped out to buy groceries for dinner, but local T's had nowt, so bought girls chippy dinner. But I haven't used petrol I guess....have a lovely full tank so that'll keep me going for a while now.
Eldest DD on pc now, making Twilight designs I think and youngest is making fashion designs with a fab book she has, lots of little stencils, patterns and material to use.
I'm hoping I feel better tomorrow as I need to nip to big Tesco for the rest of my shopping for the week - meal plan's all done. And I would like to go buy compost, tubs and flowers to make the garden look beautiful:rotfl:
2 more items end on ebay tonight, only small things so maybe a few pounds. Sold all of last night's bits, bar one, so just waiting for tonight's to end and my Paypal balance will go over £50 and I'll withdraw it.
I moved £48 out of current account to savings today...left £90 in, so once I've bought the groceries this week I *should* be able to save another good whack. Holiday is due at the end of May, and I think I need about another £200 at the most to pay it. Once that's paid I can hopefully attempt to pay off debts and build my savings a bit (especially after buying the car;))
Luckily house is pretty clean and tidy, so I don't need to worry about that.
OK, off for a browse on the boards now:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Tesco shopping done online.....just in case I don't feel like it tomorrow:o Not many codes around to use, but found a £5 off, 25p off and double points - so the money off covers the delivery charge really. I ordered a good bit of meat - 1 chicken, 1 pack of chicken breasts, 1 mince and 1 pack of pork steaks, so that'll be enough for next week too. I think the total will come to just under £60,which is ok for the amount I ordered I think:p
Been having a browse on the OS board - I like seeing other people's meal plans for the week as mine always seem to feature the same meals....must try some new, easy recipes.
Nothing planned for tomorrow - I hope I feel ok and DD2 and I can nip out for the compost, tubs and flowers at last. She loves getting stuck in to the garden and it could do with a bit of brightening up. Not sure what the forecast is....fingers crossed for some sun:cool:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

I still have a plate of chicken meat which I could use, but I don't know what to do with it and I won't be able to use it till Monday. I am getting quite annoyed with OS in some ways - people just assume that others know how to cook :rotfl: The Rubber Chicken thread seems to be full of people saying "Make a risotto/pasta bake/carbonara with the chicken" but no bl**dy recipes for the uselessI think I will end up with chicken sandwiches at lunch on Monday.
I'm off to do an online browse on Tesco too0 -

I have put the carcass in the slow cooker, covered it with water and added onion, leek and carrot. I'm leaving it on overnight to make stock for the chicken broth I'm planning on making tomorrow afternoon.

I'm the same - I don't have a huge repertoire of recipes:rotfl: I usually use leftover chicken in a pasta bake, but I only have one recipe, not a load of different pasta bakes!! The girls turn their noses up at risotto, but I love it and again, I only ever make the same risotto, with chicken and mushrooms!
Spag bol, sausages mash and yorkshires, HM pizza, HM curry (v basic;)), meatballs (DD2 makes these!), chicken stir fry, chicken wraps (only on a Sat night tho'), pasta bake, gammon, Savoury mince....
There - that's about the extent of our meals:rotfl:
So if any of you can add your ideas I (and maybe F_F) would be very grateful!
PS The slow cooker sounds fab, but no room in my kitchen for one:rolleyes:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

With Branston ? :rotfl: I agree with what you say about OS. I end up having chicken salad for three days in a row:rotfl:0 -

My kitchen is flipping tiny, to the point where if two people are in there it becomes quite dangerous! I hide the cooker in a cupboard most of the time and bring it out when it's time to cook yummy thingsTo be honest, I am now so in love with mine that even if the kitchen was too small I would have it bubbling away in the living room :rotfl:
*edited to add* If you know how to make a pasta bake and a risotto Milly, give us your recipes!0 -

Ok F_F, when I have a bit more time I'll post my (basic!) recipes - no measurements, I just chuck in handfuls;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Evening;)
Feeling much better today...thank goodness! Back to normal-ish nearly:D
Had a nice day - Tesco came around 12.20, after I'd hoovered and dusted. Then DD2 and I went into town for a wander, not been for weeks and weeks. I've been hankering after the new Nivea Happy Time body lotion, it's a lovely orange smell. It was £6 in SUperdrug, and £5.80 in Boots, but came with the free matching shower gel...what a treat for me!!
What else? Bought my sister a lovely bracelet in M+S for her bday - £7.50, but I remembered I had a £5 gift card in my purse, so only cost me £2.50:beer: Bought Em a drink, but made her have the bogof one, so I have a bottle of coke for work now;) She bought herself a DS game, owes me money but one of the things on ebay ending tonight is hers so i'm keeping the proceeds!
Oh and I bought myself a cd - new Depeche Mode one - but used a £10 voucher I was given at Xmas (and managed to keep until now!)
So, all in all, I didn't spend much money at all today:p
Must get girls to go shower now, get ready for another week I guess:rolleyes:I really need to sort out a new signature!0
