KM - thank you:o. I was feeling a bit down and had no motivation or insiration. But much better now so will be on here more keeping myself on track. I feel a bit like I've lost the plot, although realistically I haven't really - my spending account is low because I moved most of it to the holiday savings, leaving nothin to spend;) So I haven't really spent money I haven't got, I could move it back from savings, but it's TC day so account looks slightly healthier now!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

A CAR?! You lucky soul! Congrats!
Ha - I went in to the hospital yesterday as was up there for my daughter's orthodontic appt, the Gastro dept had no appt on its way, even tho I said my doc faxed an urgent request
She gave me a number to make an appt, but when I rang that I was told I needed the letter they'd sent me with some number on before they'll give me an appt:mad: SO much for urgent, they're driving me mad. Luckily I feel good now, steroids are wonderful things;) But left to the hospital I'd be no better!

Have just changed energy supplier online, thro' Quidco of course so hopefully £62 should track...and I'll be £30 a month better off with their cheaper prices. Do have a little bit extra to pay back to Southern Electric, but even once I've paid that I'll be better off.
Better go shower now, I want to pick up my car...the chap just neded to get the spare wheel in it. Exciting....;)
Sold a few bits on ebay last night - came to about £30 I think, not all paid for yet, but better get them packed up ready to post.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
The £62 E-On money has tracked at Quidco....
I have my new car now, it's fab, I feel very posh;) Went to cinema after with friends, so that cost me £21, and £4 in Tesco on sweets and drinks:rolleyes:
Took back a couple of bits to Next so £29 back on my card, but the bought G some jeans and a top in New Look, but that's her sorted for Spring clothes now thank goodness. Girls with the ex tomorrow eve til Sat eve so must sort the house out....I shall write a list here soon....then I HAVE to do it all if I've written it down:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Oh lovely having a new car
you are doing well since you split with your ex you have a holiday booked, the girls are still keeping up with their activities so they are not missing out and you have a new car too :Twell done the budgeting is paying off :A
Do you collect nectar points coz I use them to pay to take the kids to the cinema. You just have your nectar card swiped at the cinema if you have enough points, no need for sending off for any vouchers or anything so really easy. I hate paying full price for the cinema its so expensiveThere is also an offer about on the large bags of Revels etc if collect 8 you get 2 free cinema tickets. Let me know if you haven't seen the offer I will try and find it.
Oh and I need to get round to changing energy suppliers too, might have a look on Quidco later thanks for the reminder.0 -
Happy new car

Thanks for the reminder about nectar points KM - I don't use the card now but have about £25 of points stashed on it for something - didn't think about cinema:o
Thank you for the lovely comments about me doing ok without the ex - I can definitely say I'm better off without him;) It's lovely being so in control of my money and knowing that I can look after the girls well, still let them do all their clubs and even fit in a little holiday!
As for changing energy suppliers - I'd looked at changing to E-On a few times but just never got round to it. then noticed that the £62 cashback is only available til tomorrow....so I got on with it:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hi Milly!!
Glad to see you are feeling better, and enjoy the car!! :j
We switched to E-on though Quidco just over a year ago, got £60 cashback I think, and I managed to get 1000 tesco clubcard points as well, by ringing them & asking!!Not had any probs with them, been fine.
Cinema is scary expensive  we went yesterday to see Monsters V Aliens, but I was lucky & had free tickets left from a competition, and I made the DDs buy their own sweets with their own money!!Good film though!

Morning!
Feeling rather energetic today - steroids kicking in - I always feel a bit manic taking them, which I like:p
Got lots to get done, so should get on with it. House needs a good tidy and clean. Girls are with their dad tonight til tomorrow night, so will have lots of time to get stuff done. I want to get more on ebay - 2 more items were added last night, but I really do have sooooo many summer clothes of the girls to get shot of.
Naughty daily scratchcard didn't give me 50p for logging in so I didn't quite hit payout - 0n £9.98 though, so tomorrow I can withdraw:beer: And TAB card is on about £8 so nearly there with that one.
I need to nip out in my lovely new car and buy rear view mirror - the one in the car had no sticky pad to attach it, I should have taken it, but he said he'd attach it when I go back to pick up the spare wheel. I also need to get DD2's and my school shoes reheeled. Hers have given up so quickly, so thought I'd drag them out a bit longer! I did buy myself new ones in Next the other day, but felt bad, so will try and get mine fixed!!
Here's a quick list of bits I need to do....- clean bathroom
- clean kitchem
- clean fish out
- meal\plan and write shopping list
- get winter clothes up the attic
- sort out more clothes to ebay
- ironing:mad:
- hoover
- clean/tidy girls room

Now, as you're feeling much better do you think that you can come to my house and clean? please!
I would subscribe to your diary but i'm daft and can't work out how to do it, keep up the good work, i'll keep reading.0
