Ooooooh my sis has asked if we want to go on holiday with her and her family in the summer - she's found some good all-inclusive deals, 10 nights for about £1400...I'm in a dilemma now......!!
I could probably save that amount by then, therefore not using savings..... A holiday would be fab....we didn't go last year and if we don't go with my sis then I don't think we'd go anywhere, my girls said it'd be boring just the 3 of us....we've always gone with my sis and her girls too.

Think I'm veering towards the decision against going.... Sis wants to now go for 11 nights, so price creeping up for me...£1500, would also need some spending money, so getting more than I want to pay....:o

Hooray....14th NSD out of my target of 14:j
That's my highest target I've ever gone for too and will go over it!!! Should be an NSD tomorrow too - all I need to do is send an ebay parcl, which the buyer's already paid for. Girls going with their dear father after school then back on Sat afternoon and we're going to my sis house for the night. So peace for me tomorrow;)

Hiya....nah don't think I'd get a penny out of him:p He said 2 weeks ago that's he'd get eldest dd some credit for her phone - only £10, but still not got it, have asked a few times but he says he hasn't got it....pathetic;) So to ask for anything towards a hol might be a bit hopeful??!!!:rotfl:

I did think of going for a week - probably leaving my sis there if they're staying for longer, but not sure if we'd just hate that, having to leave them still on holiday!!!! I don't know.....the new dfw me hates the thought of parting with money - even for a holiday....I expect a REAL bargain now, or I don't want to buy:D

Than I think my 2 really deserve a holiday....just wish my sis would be happy with a week:o Maybe they will....I'll wait and see.....going to their house on sat so we'll chat about it then.

Failed the grocery challenge:o ....I'm on £208 out of £200 and still got to get a few bits for next week. On the good side, I did buy 2 packs of chicken this week which has been bagged up and frozen - enough for about 4 meals I think. Also got 2 packs of mince and some cooked chicken in freezer. I've meal-planned for next week and I don't think I need too much - no meat at all I don't think. Just a few basics....will try and keep it as low as possible - not happy with going over:mad: Also I have included 2 delivery charges in that amount - total of £8.50 I think....hmm excuses eh?!?:D

Anyway, tis Thursday and I'm shattered as usual so off to bed now - if I can persuade dd1 to go up too! (Only 11 and more energy than me:o )

Aaaah I didn't manage the NSD after all - was my friend at work's birthday so went to pub for lunch, lovely baguette, but spent £7 boohoo;)

Had a lovely present in the post today - a bottle of Miss Sixty perfume. I subscribed to Glamour mag for 6 months, for only £6 and the perfume came free. It's a perfume I like anyway, had some but it ran out recently, so that's a nice treat for me, and 6 mags for £6 can't be bad!

Not much else happening...girls with their dad til tomorrow afternoon so just enjoying the silent house with a glass of wine!

I'm going to write a shopping list for next week and pick up the stuff at the Morrison's by my sister's house - she has a 10% discount card too, so that'll help my grocery budget:o I've done the meal plan and really don't need much, no meat at all, so hopefully shouldn't spend too much.

As for the holiday.......well we think we are going to book it for a week, they're happy with that now....so my holiday would be £1100, that's all inclusive. I know it's a lot of money, but I just feel I want to take the girls away, didn't do anything last year and I think i could save that amount by then. So, I won't be debt free this year no, but I think we do have to still have some life....I can cope with my situation as it is, so a little treat won't hurt. And it'll give me the push I need to get back into ebaying stuff. All I've been selling recently is DS games, so those profits going straight to the girls:eek:
ANyway, enough....off to relax with the tv and laptop probably;)

Well the holiday is booked....and still feel I shouldn't spend that much money, but done it now:eek: Girls very excited though - I just MUST make the money now, save hard and sell on ebay!
Anyway, I had a nice lie-in today, a quick tidy up and had my friend here for coffee for an hour. Girls due back at 3 then going to my sister's for the night. Need to buy my niece's birthday present too - will go get her an outfit for summer. I've written my shopping list for tomorrow and there's not a huge amount on it for once:D So will do that with my sister's 10% discount card then come home.
One of my daily scratchcards is nearly on £10 so that'll go in the holiday fund! Pleased with that in only a month:p I get paid this week but tbh it doesn't really affect my weekly budget as the wages go into the bills account ready to cover rent and all dds. The new bank account is working very well - I know exactly how much I have available to spend as the old current account has the bills money in. I'm very pleased with how it's worked out:p

Anyway, must go and make the most of the empty house, I think college work is the most useful thing I could be doing!:rolleyes:

Well done on the bank account. That's what I do - one for all direct debits etc and whatever is left in the other one is for shopping, clothes, going out and all sorts of things like that. It works really well for me
