    Well had another NSD....
Tesco shopping was delivered and a few bags were sent twice, so I received 2 cucumbers, 2packs of choc bars etc...very nice surprise. Maybe I should ring and tell them?!! But maybe not;) They didn't charge twice, but hey, their mistake:p
My friend's OH has sorted the car for now, I have his spare on until I can go sort my tyre. Very kind of him:T
Just making a lasagne now, dd2 is at the panto with Brownies, so I've got a little work done and dd1 did some homework.
Bank accounts look fine I think...even if I have paid nearly £200 in clubs and on a cheerleading competition entry for the girls this month. Rather pleased that I managed to pay them out of my own money- no dipping into savings. So makes me think that next month I'll have even more leftover! Mind you car MOT is due mid-feb so some money will go there, not too much I hope:eek:

  • NSD number 13 today....which I'm pleased with as it's the 19th day of the year;) I did need to buy birthday cards for my nicec but our village had a very poor selection so didn't get any! So dd2 made one instead (much more dfw) and I'll just have to find one tomorrow to post for her bday on Wed.

Had a college tutorial and have given myself a date to finish all of the course - Feb 18th:eek: Looks like I'll be busy then....!!!
I also spoke to the tutors that run the Foundation degree and am more keen now to apply for September. I may as well go for it...if I don't I know I'll only wonder if I could have done it:rolleyes:

Tomorrow will try and get my new tyre, so I can give pal's OH his spare back. So my 14th NSD might not happen tomorrow;) Oh well, plenty of days left to get it in - going to see how many over the 14 I can go....:D

Anyway, nothing much else to report here. Off to bed soon.....

Well done on your NSDs - that's really impressive, especially with all the sales that were around at the start of the month :rotfl:

For cards - The Book People come round to my mum's work and she got me a box full of cards which I use for birthdays, new houses, babies etc and it was about £8 for LOADS of cards. I won't have to buy another one for ages. The only ones I will actually go out and buy now are for very close friends, where I want to get something a bit nicer.

I don't know if you can get selections like that online from the Book People, but it might be worth a look. You can get Quidco cashback from them and there are normally free delivery codes kicking around on here too.

Enjoy the rest of your night!

I'm slightly obsessed with them tho....:o I wasn't happy when I realised I needed to part with some money for my poor little niece's 1st bday card!! (And even worse I was quite happy when our local shops didn't have any nice '1st bday' cards:p )

    Bad auntie I am:rotfl:

Aaaaaah not quite an NSD here - but I did only spend £1.56 on a card and stamp for my niece, so not too bad at all!!!

Just looking into changing gas and electric suppliers - think I'll go with npower as they're over £200 a yr cheaper. I was with them when we moved and think the elecric account is still open as I had a very late bill for June until July, only just got it sorted and paid. So might just hang on until I know the account has been closed then I'l lget a new one - with 3000 Piggy points. Eon give £70 through Quidco but they're £100 more than npower a yr, so still cheaper to go for npower. They quote my monthly gas and electric as £73...better than the £93 I py now I guess;)

Nothing much else to say....girls' dinner is on, dd2 got her friend here, then brownies at 6.

I've spoken to teacher at school in chardge of CPD about the degree in Sept and she was very keen and said we could sort something, as I'd need a day off a week to attend college. Looks like I've really got myself into it now....:p I need to have a think about the personal statement in my UCAS form and approach head about a reference:p

Anyway, off to feed the rabble:rotfl:

    Hiya:D ,
Had to spend money today:eek: I got my new tyre...£32, then went and bought dd2 a new pair of boots - reduced from £18 to only a fiver, she's very pleased. Then a trip to Tesco, £15 on petrol and £27 in the shop:eek: But...£7 of that was a bottle of bacardi for the chap who helped with the car at the weekend and I got a new black cardi for work, £12. Feel like I've gone mad and spent a fortune but it really isn't too much:o

50p+25p on my daily scratchcards...I'm flying along now with those hehehe:p
Hopefully today will be my 14th NSD out of my target of 14! So now going to see how many I can squeeze in for January....maybe 20??!!!

My £140 terramundi money and £46 from Prime Scratchcards has gone into my savings account - and added it to my Summer Sizzler total. Another wii game sold on ebay today, but that's the girls' money - best not pocket it;)

Off to watch Waterloo Rd now....
