Hi Milly, I really like reading your diary, wish I could be that organised.
The electricty companies are a joke, one of them, tried to say I was using £80 worth of elec a month!!!
My monthly bill used to be £20, this is for one adult and a 2 year old girl, I don't think so!
Looking forward to reading more diary entries.

Aaaah...do you really think I'm organised?!! I think I'm getting there;)
I must be mad though, I'm currently trying to finish my Teaching Assistant NVQ3, very nearly done. But my time management is hopeless - I can while away hours on here when I really should be studying. Anyway, I'm now seriously contemplating starting a Foundation Degree in Sept in Learning Support, which goodness knows where I'd find the time for, but I emailed the course tutor about today.
I might be mad taking it on, but I really want to have a degree, I dropped out of Uni afetr 2 years at age 20 and have regretted it for a long time
I just wonder if I could seriously cope...but I guess I'll never know unless I give it a go:rolleyes:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I hope you don't mind me saying this but I think you should go for it. My youngest sister has followed a path similar to you with teaching assisstant qualifications and did the foundation degree in childhood studies last year and as gone on this year to convert it into a honours degree. We were so proud of her because she was always put down in school and told that she was not academic and had no confidence in herself as a result. So it's been fab to see how she has progressed in the last 8years (she's 35 now). She is now working in her dream job and says she has had her eyes opened to the fact that there is a big world out there and she has a right to be in it and does have something to give.
I know it's not easy though because I'm studying at the moment and I'm single and find it a struggle to fit in with all my commitments but it is worth it.
Sorry this has turned into war and peace but I do enjoy reading your diary and think you do a great job in difficult circumstances.
Good luck with NVQ3 and with whatever you decide to do.0 -

Thank you very much for that:p I do think I'll go for it....started filling in the UCAS form online last night and quite excited about it now;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
 Not happy......!!!!
Left house to collect girsl from gym, my friend had taken them and I stopped near my house to post a letter and noticed my back tyre was as flat as a pancake:eek:
Wasn't far from home so crawled back but now I'm stuck:mad: Do have a spare but I can't put it on and I rung a company that would come out, with a new one I could keep as a spare, but not til Monday and I have to work then...so goodness knows what I'll do....meant to have a college tutorial after school Mon, really wanted to go
Now, it's times like this I wish I had a man....otherwise I don't mind, but not this weekend;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hi Milly
Did you sort the tyre out? My sister once rang a taxi company and paid one of their drivers to change hers :rotfl: I suppose you got to be cheeky sometimes
Are you in the AA or RAC would they change it for you?
Sorry not much help, I did actually change a tyre once myselfI was desperate at the time and I read the manual, the hardest things was undoing the nuts I literally was jumping on that tool thing you use....Not sure I could do it again
Good luck I hope you get it sorted, such a hassle that.

Hi KM,
Well I have the spare tyre in the boot, but as far as I know I don't have the jack thing or anything else to change it!!
I've got basic RAC cover, but only roadside - I didn't pay for the home bit so don't know if they'd come to me!! Might have a look in the back of car tomorrow again and see if I do have anything with the spare and ring RAC, I'd happily pay any extra to get it sorted....grrrrrrrr:mad:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning all!!
Rather early for me to be awake on a Sunday morning, but I was half awake at about 7.30 then had a text message at 8 so that woke me up. It was a friend of mine whose OH offered to come and change my tyre (he'd seen my moany message on facebook:p ) - so he's coming in a couple of hours, how fab, I don't even know him. So very pleased about that.
Must get up soon and make the most of being awake early! Just put the heating on so house is nice for me when I do venture up, girls probably won't surface for a while yet, well definitely not eldest:rolleyes:
Nothing much planned for today - Tesco are delivering 11-1, then dd2 is off to panto with Brownies later on. I did a bit of college work yesterday, but found I'd left the folder of work I'm working on at school on Fri:eek: What a prat I am - I wanted to finish it all and hand it in to my tutor tomorrow. Oh well.
Daily scratchcards are done, just 3 lots of 10p today, but I'm up to £7.30 on Littlewoods which is fab!! Bank looks fine, I've not spent much at all this month. I had to pay girls gym club yesterday - £88:eek:  That's til April...going to tell ex that unless he stumps up half next time they won't be carrying on.... I did order 2 pairs of shoes for myself from M+S yesterday too, £35 for both. I had to buy them, my work shoes have holes in and I get wet feet if it's raining:o I'll only keep one pair, so not too bad. I did pay delivery too, but figured if I'd have gone to town asplanned yesterday I'd have spend moneyon parking and on a drink/snack for girls, so it's ok really;) Think that's all I've spent, yep....and Tesco shopping, around £45-£50 I think, which included 2 packs of chicken and a whole chicken, so that meat will cover a few weeks. I'm still not that good at keeping grocery shopping down, I'll be going over the £200 this month I think....hmmmmm not sure how else to cut down:cool:
ANyway, going to get up now and get going....think the girls are awake, before 9 on a Sunday??!!hehehe
