Ta, raeble.'Puritanism: the haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy'.

I remember reading somewhere that there are different variations on a HP cartridge - some containing 17ml and some containing 25ml or something like that.
Anyone know if this is true? And if it is - how do we know if any particular cartridge is a good buy (ie the bigger one!)
For what its worth, I've used compats for a year or so now (the Red Shark despatch depot is 100m from here!) and I've found the quality very patchy....not so much on text of course, but anything in colour is instantly recognisable as not from a genuine cartridge. IMHO anyway! There must, for instance, be something very strange in a man who, if left alone in a room with a tea cosy, doesn't try it on.0 -
Anyone heard of IJT inkjets and toners?
Thought I'd try them because Colour cartridge only £12.49 free p&p. Even cheaper if you purchase several together. THey even beat, price wise, the refills I get from Cartridge World.( the refills I've had from them are as good as originals)
I bought ,by mistake photo cartridge , meant to buy colour cartridge. for hp psc 2110 on 6th dec 04. Phoned them twice for info to return cartridge & replace with correct colour one. THey promised that customer services would phone me. NEVER have!!
Have sent 3 emails too, no reply to these either. >:( >:(
Have just put in colour cartridge that I did order from them 7th dec04.Guess what, doesn't work!!!!!!!! Prints Pink instead of Green, It has really messed up my colour work. I print my graphics + pics on photo paper >:( >:(
To use with my teaching work.
I've just sent 2 more emails with scanned graphics attached to try and show fault.
Any bets whether they'll answer?
I get fed up with people ignoring you once you've paid your money.
So felt I wanted to warn others maybe if their sales
drop they just MIGHT reply to my phone calls & emails.
Anyone else had problems with them??????0 -
I fitted a non-original 78 colour cartridge from 247ink about a week ago. It is perfect - cannot tell any difference from a genuine 78, except half the price!
Have also found http://www.inkjet-cartridges.co.uk/ which would seem to be 247ink with a different name (same phone number) but quite often, their web prices are cheaper than 247ink prices for the same product. Worth double checking.0 -
Apart from the cheap prices at inkcycle, I liked the idea of sending them my empty cartridge and their packaging back in the free pre-paid envelope. Thereby helping the environment a little and keeping future prices low.:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:0

I placed an order last Tuesday on this recommendation, and haven't received it yet - phoned today to be told they had a huge backlog of orders, and in any case they use first class Parcel Post, which "can take about a week". On the plus side, they haven't debited my payment yet, but this is not for anyone needing urgent supplies, although the prices are good.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Phoenix Direct seem to have good prices on original HP cartridges.Their prices include vat + delivery so the price you see is the price you pay.......

I have discovered a company stinkyinkshop.co.uk whose prices are reasonable eg £13.85 inclusive of vat & postage(HP27) with quick delivery. Usually I manage to buy cheaper off ebay but there is always plenty of competition.MSE_Martin wrote:Why there's a special section
There's is no definitive way to find the cheapest cartridges, no price comparison engines cover it comprehensively. Therefore I thought we could harness Moneysavers power to do this properly
What to do
When you find a cheap supply for your HP printer, please note what the cartridge was and how much you paid, plus any other hints and tips.
