I have just been off to Tesco and bought value inkjet refills kits black and colour dead cheap. Refilled the black cart yesterday before it ran out today it doesnt work. Any ideas anyone? Why are Tesco selling these things if they do nott work and why are people like me buying them Because the printer manufacturers are ripping us off and we want a deal.0

I've just been into 'the computer shop' which used to be Tiny/Time, and they are selling HP 56 for £10.82, 57 for £18.46 and 58 at £13.42 brand new. They have many others here and the expiry dates were long (sept 05 for the one I bought)
I wouldn't buy a PC from them but ink at that price, £43.37 for the set is difficult to match, even on the web.
A walk across the car park to Comet and the same ink would have cost £70, even Britink who I have previously used would have been around £52.
There are some good offers on hard drives, etc., which I will post up on the relevant topic.0 -
Just bought HP cartridges No's 56,57 & 58 all for £41 from 7 day shop.com (£12 less than last time) 8) 8) 8)Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -

Well done, Furniture_man. I did say it would be difficult to beat, and I had looked at the 7day shop site. I use them (7day) regularly, but in this specific instance there are 3 issues I have with them.
They only show the 57 in stock, the others are 'pre-order'; the price including carriage is £43.92; I would be waiting at least a week for the 'in stock' cartridge to come. There is no expected date for the others.
As I have a 'the computer shop' branch locally the benefit of walking in and buying from the shelf is great, but 7day do come close.
When the time comes to replace them I will be shopping around again, and with some 'trade in' deals I may be able to do better on one of the 'ink-specific' sites.

Just received an email from 7day shop.com all cartridges I ordered are out of stock and they will send them as soon as they are in stock.
I'm not in a rush so I don't mind waiting as they are comparitively cheap, and my card will not be debited until they are sent.

Lurked for ages - first post so be gentle
I have used http://www.inkemporium.co.uk/ for at least a year now. They have always been competitive on price, had the item in stock and deklivered the cartridges quickly.
Noticed that they currently have the HP-56-57-58 triple pack for £41.27.0 -
Sorry - cocked up - newbie alert !
Not sure how to edit my original post but the price I quoted excluded VAT.0 -
Hi alexgoss
If you click on 'Modify' at the top right corner of your post, it will allow you to edit your post.
It will also add a note at the bottom 'Edited... ' and the date and time. I usually put a note to show what I've edited for the benefit of newcomers to the thread.
I really don't understand why the computer industry is almos alone in being allowed to advertise prices without VAT. It's a cost everyone except the trade has to pay, most internet sites are selling to the public. Some don't even make it clear until 'checkout' what the real cost is. >:(
As I've mentioned I have the advantage of passing a 'the computer shop' so I can benefit from their low prices. They have a claim that if you can find any ink selling locally for lower prices, you can take in a receipt with the ink you've bought and they will give you another free!0 -
:-*https://www.inkcycle.co.uk are the best. I have tried other "cheaper" inks, but they work out dearer as they either take too long to dry or do not flow, therefore they end up in the bin.Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0
