You have to phone them up to set up initial access. Be prepared to give about 5 pieces of security information which you will need to remember for logging in.

I had already gone through all that with them, in person, in branch so I've just given them a ring and they'd forgotten to put my email address on their system which is why it wasn't working.

The lady from the branch even called me up and wanted to help me to set up my internet banking. BUT, I called to the call center one day earlier and found out my OLD yorkshire BS credit card account details would work!

Has anyone managed to figure out if Smile current account holders are eligible for this yet?

I know this question has been asked a few times earlier on in this thread, but nobody has yet replied.

    Adam.

I was told that smile customers are not eligible......however the leaflet makes no mention of this and goes out its way to list the different o-op accounts which would make you ineligible. The guy I spoke to said marketing had messed up....and as I'd had other problems.... agreed to open an account + free £100.

I posted the leaflet on HUKD.

    Hey all

I've deposited my first £800 and now want to move it back to my usual current account.

When I put the details in via Internet banking, the system added two zeroes to the end of the receiving account number. Thought I'd seen someone else post this - is this normal?

Yes, it was me who asked the question before, and I can confirm that the money does go back OK.

  • I called them tonight. Unfortunately I didn't pass the credit score, I dont' know why I don't have any bad credit record. They asked me to send the recent 3 month bank statements so they may re-consider it. I am going to do that so finger crossed.

The lady on the phone said they give you £200. You need deposit £800 when open the account. I am not sure if it's her mistake. Anyone can confirm this?

I was thinking of going for this but am worried about the credit check.
I last checked my Experian report about Easter 07 and it came out as 'fair'.

Do you think this would make me 'fail' any application with the Co-op ?

I currently have a Vanquis card - am uptodate with their payments; and am in the process of closing my 2 cc's - Barclaycard & LPF as i've reclaimed credit card charges from them.

I'd applied for a CC in March 08 after receieving a mailshot from them; Capital 1; but was turned down. I've applied for nothing since.

    Any advice would be useful
