Looks like this £100 switching offer is being pulled next Monday, 29th September.

  • I just applied for this offer, but disaster struck! My browser windows suddenly closed down while I was half way through the last part of the application - the bit where you transfer all your DDs and put in your employer details, ie the bit that you get the £100 for!

I then got an email saying that my application for an account had been successful, but presumably without the transfer bit sorted. Plus, I can't go back in to the application to amend the transfer details without starting all over again and apply for another account!

Not really sure what to do - I guess I'll have to give them a call tomorrow which is a pain. So, just beware that the same thing doesn't happen to you if you're applying...

Anyone else having problems trying to apply?

Click Apply Online and a new window pops up but it just remains white all the time and nothing happens.

Does anyone know how long the account has to be open to get the £100 - I noticed it says 'up to 15 weeks' to pay the £100 - can the account just be closed after that?

I'm in the process of switching to th A&L Premier Account.

I had no problems registering online.

I have recieved through the post: information galore, pin numbers, Visa debit card, a form detailing all of DD and payments that are being switched.

The letter detailing the switching says all the payments will be transfered unless I tell them otherwise withinn 14 days. I should leave sufficient funds in my old account in case the debits are not switched in time.

They will contact my employer with details to change the account my salary is paid into.

If my salary credit is due withinn 14 days, they will delay payments until my salary has been paid.

My only concern is that they have offered me £400 overdraft and my current one is considerably more than that. My main reason for switching was to cut down on the amount I pay monthly for my overdraft. I have sent them a copy of my statement so, I will wait and see.

So far all appears to be going smoothly. Fingers X'ed.

Applied for this last night and had accepted email this morning. How long before it tracks in Quidco do you think?

You get an interest free overdraft for a year.
Why close an account with this facility? Why not put the overdraft money in a savings account for a year and earn interest from it?

Because its not a massive overdraft, I'll earn about £12.50 - unless they agree to increase it. Just curious as I've heard mixed things about them, dont wat to be stuck with a sh*t account for ages.

They have now refused to pay a second Direct Debit - luckily this time it was just for my RMT subscription.

I've heard nothing from them about my letter of complaint I sent nearly 3 weeks ago about the first DD they bounced for no good reason (i.e. plenty of funds available).

    Premier switching service my @rse!!

I don't think I shall be sticking with this lot!

    UNDERGROUND :D

..............and now a third, my O2 Broadband.

When I ring them they just blame the originating companies who are apparently trying to claim the funds without first 'registering' on my account (haven't a clue what this means).

Is it just me that this is happening to?

Oh and customer service is abysmal - they're rude, surly and seem to be lacking in any real knowledge other than the real basics.

Wish they'd just cough up the hundred quid so I can get gone!!
