    Hi

Looks like it has gone  somtime around Sept 2011

You now have to use their USA site (unless anyone knows different).

My guide is still relevant though.
  • Hi guys,

Just wondering I need 2 rooms booking.
If I use price line twice using the same search criteria and do the bookings close together will I get offered the same hotel?
Has any one tried this? Or will we end up in different hotels in the same city?
    Thanks for any help.
    :)

You can bid for more than 1 room on Priceline:D
  • Just used Priceline for the first time and got the 5* Renaissance Barcelona Hotel (Zone 5) for £59 a night for 3 nights 1-4 May 14 - a saving of 81%. I tried £44, £48, £50, £53, £56 and then succeeded with £59.

Used the 'add in zones that don't have the hotel grade you're looking for' approach so I could do multiple bids in a row.

I had to book through Priceline.com but was charged in £. The best 'Express Deal' on offer was £70 a night for a 5* in the same area.

    Great feedback

Was the saving by your calculation or by PL?

Thanks for your reply. I think I'm being dense. But I couldn't see anywhere to add the number of rooms?
    Please help!

At the very beginning of the process.

It asks for City, check-in check-out dates and then there's a drop down box for number of rooms.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Help and advice needed please (pretty please).
I/we have never used Priceline before and was thinking of trying it for a few nights in Torremolinos.
    Non-bidding price is £31.96 p/n for 4* room only plus taxes = £105.45
What would be a sensible bidding price/strategy for this, bearing in mind the added fees.
B&B can be had for £43 with other sites and discounts with cashback sites etc.

Would it be worth it as we might not get that hotel, though it is the cheapest by far for 4* (probably pushing 4* a bit).

    TIA

    Lynsey

Priceline have given me an unsuitable hotel for £57. I have chatted with them and they completely refuse to give me my money back. Unless you are absolutely sure what you are doing I advise you avoid this company. Please read the MSE site's warnings very carefully and avoid this company unless you are willing to accept the wrong hotel in the wrong place for the wrong number of people.

I promised I would let the forum know in my chat with Priceline, happy to attach that chat if it is helpful for anyone.

Can you tell us why it's unsuitable and if there was any way you could have avoided what happened? That way it might stop others having the same problem.

There is always the risk you won't get the hotel you think it is, so people need to be careful that they don't 'need' to get a certain hotel.
