We rent a 2 bed (although there is a tiny 3rd room) terrace in Bucks. We pay £625pcm. This is average for where we live. We have the added bonus of being within easy walking distance of town centre, 3 supermarkets and retail parks. We are no more than 200yds from a main road yet our road is peaceful with no through traffic.
We could not be happier having sold to rent.:j

I pay less than the OP in a pretty okay part of nottingham (granted if I wanted to go on a chav safari I'd only have to go a mile or so, but the moat (or ring road) seems to keep them out. It's a health benefit ...0

£350 for a 15'x15' total sized 25 year old studio flatlet. Cardiff.
Cheapest thing for 20 miles.0 -
I pay £350 for a double bedoom right now but looking to get a 2 bed flat in Caterham, Surrey with the missus. Cheapest is £600 and that's above a shop0

I paid £305 for a 2 bed terraced house in Bolton, quite close to the town centre.0

I'm paying £230 (per person) for a nice 4-bed house share in a decent area of Cardiff.
Was looking at 2-beds recently, and its £500 - £700ish, depending on area, but as PasturesNew said, £350 is about as cheap as you can get for a 1-bed / studio.0 -
We previously paid £650/month for a 1 bed flat in Oxford, in a horrible area where I hated going out on my own after dark!
We bought in a much nicer area a year or so ago, and the same flat (2 bed) would be around £900 a month to rent.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Well its certainly not up here in the NE of Scotland anyway, Aberdeen rental prices are sky high.
I would expect £11-1200pm rental if i were to rent out my house.0 -
Previously: 2-bed flat above a shop, big, newly decorated + new kitchen, no garden, non-allocated parking in shop carpark, no pets allowed, £730. Advertised for £780 after we handed in our notice and taken after one viewing.
Now: 1-bed house hidden away off main road, small, needs "modernising", courtyard garden, allocated parking, large bike shed, cat allowed, £630.
Both in central Cambridge.
Edit: We downsized in order to save more for deposit, also really wanted a cat. £630 is a bargain, right at the bottom of the price range for 1-beds.0 -
            Renting last year - 3 bed end-of-terrace in Newport for £500pcm. I charge £320 inc bills for a double room in my house.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0
